Last month, Microsoft released a new Surface Pro 3 commercial called 'Winter Wonderland' and while the advertisement is a bit tacky, it is proving to be incredibly popular too.
The 30 second TV commercial, like many other Surface advertisements, targets Apple's MacBook Air and shows how the Pro 3 tops the Apple device in nearly every way; you can watch the video below if you haven't seen it already.
The clip shows how the Pro 3 is more versatile than the MacBook Air and matches it for performance too. While pricing is not specifically mentioned, these two devices do compete in the same price bracket.
This commercial has now passed six million views on YouTube, and for the Surface channel, that is the second most watched video; the most popular video is the announcement clip the company released two years ago. This means that, based on traffic, the holiday spot posted above is by far the most popular video (in terms traffic growth) and for the Pro 3 specifically, the most popular commercial ever.
While Microsoft has not said how well the tablet is doing in terms of sales figures, all signs point to the device being the best seller of the Surface line. With the Surface brand likely becoming the next billion dollar business for Microsoft, it seems that after a year or two of hard times with the Surface, Microsoft finally got the formula right with the Pro 3.
