Motorola gets a new logo

Google has given Motorola's logo a makeover, ditching the bold italic for a new, lowercase font featuring "a Google company", plus a rainbow selection of segmented colors

Google has given Motorola a new logo, seen above, which ditches the classic red circle around the Motorola 'M' for a colorful segmented circle; also gone is the bold italic "Motorola" text, replaced by a fresher lowercase version and accompanied by "a Google company", referring to how Google bought Motorola Mobility in 2011 for US$12.5 billion.

The past logo for the company can be seen below, and is still featured across most of Motorola's websites. Expect to see the new logo on a range of new Motorola devices, including the upcoming Moto X which has been teased but is yet to be officially unveiled by the company.
