OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus Z (or OnePlus Nord), the firm's upcoming affordable smartphone, on July 10 in India. The leaks suggest that the phone would come with a Snapdragon 765 5G chipset and feature a 90Hz AMOLED display. Today, Carl Pei, the firm's co-founder, tweeted, teasing the upcoming phone:

The tweet refers to an older tweet by the smartphone manufacturer from April 2014, when it introduced its first flagship phone, the OnePlus One. While the tweet doesn't explicitly mention the upcoming phone, it hints at the possibility of OnePlus Z launching at the same price as the firm's first flagship phone (via Android Central), which was priced at just $299 for the 16GB variant and $349 for the 64GB model.

If this is the case, the phone will be $100 cheaper than Apple's iPhone SE 2020 and $50 cheaper than the Pixel 4a. This price tag could make the smartphone one of the most popular Android phones of this year. OnePlus Z, expected to debut in India next month, will also launch in U.S. and Europe before the end of Q3 2020.
