Paradox announces Sunset Harbor expansion for Cities: Skylines

The city-building phenomenon from Paradox and Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines, is getting another expansion soon. The companies today announced Sunset Harbor, a new experience that takes players to the water for expanding and developing their cities. This will be the first major expansion to arrive for the game in 2020.

Some key features include a new commercial fishing industry that lets players control the fishing boats at sea and fishing farms, water treatment plants for revitalizing wastewater, intercity and trolleybus services, and passenger helicopter services. There are of course new policies to manage these systems as well.

Moreover, the developer is bringing transport hubs for connecting different travel networks together, Transfer Facilities for easier trash management in high land value areas, as well as five new maps - featuring "boreal, tropical and temperate locales" - to build new cities in.

The Cities: Skylines Sunset Harbor expansion is releasing on March 26. However, there is an interesting development with this expansion. For the first time in the game's expansion history, Sunset Harbor will be launching simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
