Sony debuts the Xperia Touch, an Android projector with multi-touch support for €1499

If you've been looking for that unique piece that will bring a bit of futuristic touch to your living space, Sony's latest Xperia Touch Android projector will probably do the trick.

Although Mobile World Congress offers a lot in terms of mobile phone releases, there are also a wide variety of other devices that are revealed at the event. Today, Sony has announced the Xperia Touch, a portable projector that offers interactive projections.

The Android projector with multi-touch support is a unique offering that can add just the right touch (pun intended) to any environment. It can project a 23-inch HD image onto most surfaces and can do so either vertically or horizontally.

Utilizing SXRD projection display technology, Sony is able to provide fast response times when projected images are interacted with. The projector also uses infrared light and has a camera that captures motion at a rate of 60 frames per second. Since the projector is also connected, you can also download your favorite apps from the Google Play Store.

The Xperia Touch will roll out to Europe through select retailers in Spring of 2017. The projector can also be purchased directly from the Xperia Store and will have a suggested retail price of €1499 or around $1586 USD.
