Domino's has teamed up with Starship Technologies to launch autonomous pizza deliveries in European cities. The miniature robotic vehicles will deliver within a one-mile radius of Domino's stores.
Domino's has begun drone-based pizza deliveries, starting with a limited number of customers in New Zealand, but plans "to launch pizza-by-drone deliveries at increasing scale in the near future".
The Domino's Pizza app in the UK and Ireland offered support for Cortana voice controls and Xbox One SmartGlass - but with Windows phone market share continuing to slide, the app is being shut down.
The global pizza chain plans to add delivery bots with a 12 mile range to its list of tech-savvy moves like Cortana integration and ordering via Twitter and SMS. Testing has begun in Australia.
