Almost a decade after introducing its "Close Friends" feature, Instagram has confirmed it is working on a new option that will allow users to remove themselves from someone else's Close Friends list.

Instagram's Close Friends list is now expanding to Reels and posts. The feature already available for Stories allows users to share their posts and reels with a limited number of people on Instagram.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced that the company is testing the ability to create multiple lists. The new feature will allow users to share specific Stories with specific groups of followers.
