WhatsApp is getting Live Photos support on iOS. It's apparently available for some beta testers and even a handful of users on the stable build.
WhatsApp beta for Android has added the ability to send motion photos natively. This gets rid of the need to send this content on third-party apps.
Samsung users are reporting that the enhanced motion photos captured on Samsung's One UI 2.5 are no longer backing up properly to Google Photos, with just the static images being saved.
