Theme Hospital spiritual sequel, Two Point Hospital, launches in August

Two Point Hospital and its bizarre illness-ridden patients will be available for PC in late August, the developer announced today. Pre-orders for the game are also available now for $31.49.

Back in January, the architects behind the classic simulation title Theme Hospital announced that they are building a spiritual sequel for the game named Two Point Hospital. And six months later, we finally have a release date confirmation, with the indie studio revealing today that the game will launch on August 30.

Just as with the original from 1997, Two Point Hospital will let players build their own hospitals and manage them however they like. The humorous and unusual illnesses also make a return, and players will need to develop and administer some treatments that are pretty out there.

In addition to afflictions we've seen in the past such as literal Light-headedness and Premature Mummification, the latest trailer showcases another one of these special ailments, that being a very serious case of Cubism.

Pre-orders for Two Point Hospital are now up on its Steam store page with a special 10% discount, bringing the price down to $31.49. The game will be playable on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
