Updated HTC Vive controller leaked ahead of possible CES unveil

HTC's Vive has been touted for quite some time. As we get closer to launch, it looks like a new image has leaked that reveals what could be the final iteration of the controller for consumer sales.

Earlier this month, HTC revealed that its heavily toured VR headset, the HTC Vive, would be making its way into homes starting April of 2016. HTC also disclosed that the reason for the delay until April was that they had a reached a technological breakthrough that would be revealed at CES 2016. While it is still uncertain as to what the technological breakthrough could be, new alleged images have leaked that show a refined controller and updated headset.

Naturally, these images have not been officially confirmed by HTC, but the image above shows what is most likely a final or near final version of the controller that will ship with Vive when released next year. These updated controllers look much more refined compared to ones that have previously appeared at gaming shows and developer conferences.

It is still up in the air as to what new technological breakthrough HTC has made, but we will be at CES 2016 to bring you all the news, including whatever HTC might reveal.
