Windows Phone 8 Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani TV ads debut

TV ads for Windows Phone 8 have made their debut online, featuring actress Jessica Alba and No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani showing off their own Live Tiles on their devices.

The barrage of TV ads for Windows Phone 8 continues here in the US. This week, two more ads showed up online featuring actress Jessica Alba and No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani promoting Microsoft's latest mobile OS.

Alba, who also appeared for Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco a few weeks ago, shows off her Nokia Lumia 920 device from AT&T in her TV ad. The emphasis is on the Kid's Corner feature, which lets adults give their smartphone to their children but locks them into a family friendly portion of the phone.

Stefani's TV ad is short as she shows off her Live Tiles screen of her HTC Windows Phone 8X device from Verizon. The quick TV spot seems to be all about increasing and decreasing the Live Tiles on the phone's main screen.

As we mentioned earlier, UK personalities James Corden and Holly Willoughby have done their own Windows Phone 8 TV ads, while AT&T has recruited Will Arnett to promote the Nokia Lumia 920 in the US, Jay-Z is rumored to be joining the promotional bandwagon for the mobile OS but so far his TV ad has yet to appear.
