With larger screens comes larger repair costs for Apple's latest iPad Pro

With Apple revealing its latest model of the iPad Pro that means that there will be new pricing for the devices when it comes to repairs. As you can imagine, with larger screens, the out of warranty repair prices have gone up.

If your 11-inch iPad Pro suffers some kind of drop or obtains physical damage while in use and needs repair, you'll be able to have it serviced at an Apple Store but you will be charged in the amount of $499. The same applies to the 12.9-inch model for anything not covered under the manufacturer warranty, but you will instead be paying $649. These sums are both quite high, which can easily make someone second guess getting their devices repaired.

Of course, you can avoid paying these extreme prices by signing up for the firm's AppleCare+ service that will cover normal and accidental issues. If you do experience an accidental issue like a cracked screen or other physical damage, then you will still be required to pay, but it won't be as drastic, with Apple only requiring $49 out of pocket.
