As OP we have access to every permission and I still had to break the block to remove it, could be a bukkit bug or movecraft bug, I think both were updated/installed before people noticed the frames.

Well, now I really can't wait for 1.8 to be released.  Running the latest snapshot I'm actually able to run minecraft at 30-40 fps on my intel hd 3000 graphics card.  The optimizations sound like things they should have done from the beginning, but no matter.

I brings multi threading and loads only the blocks you see now instead of the whole chunks so its a big thing. :D I don't mind waiting on bukkit but forge could take forever to get updated and its not used by everyone. :P

My 5-year old and I have been playing local for a bit but would like to try some multiplayer. I figure the Neowin community would be best to start out - anything to be aware of? We are still figuring the game out and don't want to ruin the experience for others. Thanks all!

I can whitelist you when I come home tonight. On the whole there's not much to be aware of besides the usual rules - no griefing of other people's builds, no invading their space.

You're free to pick a plot somewhere and build. Just keep in mind that the server is set to survival.

Hopefully it won't be too long until Mojang releases 1.8. There's some fun stuff in it I can't wait to use.

As an idea: Would anyone be opposed to building a storage room for all the new blocks near spawn? I could fill a couple of double chest, thus eliminating the need to generate new terrain,

I don't recall seeing much improvements in frame rate playing the snapshot :s

Nice. Seems 1.8 also has different colour wooden doors too. :)

Not a fan of the beech door. :/ You can also change beacon light beams to different colours with coloured glass. :D

How's the ?50 space beta? :p

It's pretty good, and cost me way more than ?50.

If you pop over to my server I've set up a colour changing beacon. It's quite cool.

I think it would be better to regen a blank bit of land, and have access to it from the travel agents at spawn.

I was saying to Chasethebase the other day that I may go and find a nice area that's surrounded by new generation, kind of an Alt-Spawn that you can travel too if you want the new start feel. :)

People could use Amidst to check out the world layout and vote on where it is. :D

Exploring new land, server loves it :D

    • Hello, Version 19 of ESET's consumer offerings are 64-bit only. The 32-bit installers are for Version 18, which were announced in this Neowin article. In addition to ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security, ESET Smart Security Premium, and ESET Security Ultimate, both ESET Safe Server and ESET Small Business Security v19.1.14.0 have been released as well. • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
