Boston Bombing Suspects - MIT Shooting - Manhunt

Seriously. If the guys have more bombs, and they know where the cops are, and other people are, none of this will end well.

Just be quiet for a few hours. They'll get them.

just posting news.

they had found a pipe bomb, idk where but they had a control explosion maybe 2 hrs ago.

Why is the army participating in this?

http://www.usatoday....usetts/2095733/

That's not BPD..

It is the national guard. The national Guard is the state militia that is in the constitution . They were organized into the national guard in 1903. Their job is to protect their respective states and to help enforce the law . This is exactly what they are supposed to be doing.

"The United States National Guard is authorized by the Constitution of the United States. As originally drafted, the Constitution recognized the existing state Militias, and gave them vital roles to fill: "to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasion." (Article I, Section 8, Clause 15). The Constitution distinguished "Militia(s)", which were state entities, from "Troops", which were unlawful for states to maintain under normal circumstances. (Article I, Section 10, Clause 3)."

there is a third person arrested. this person was made strip naked (to make sure there were no weapons) the sex of the person was not disclosed but i hope it wasnt female because it would bring problems on if that was the correct way to handle the situation.

So it's ok to have men strip naked then...

Constitution man..

The second we lose civilian authority, we're screwed..

National Guard is a state military, so how is this against the Constitution? http://states.ng.mil...es/Default.aspx

Please keep on topic and let's not get into a political/conspiracy debate

Sorry, didn't see this until after I posted :/

No problem, it's educational, maybe someone can learn something so before they open their mouth next time they educate themselves on the topic.

Suspect may be in Grey Honda CRV - Mass Tag - 316ES9

rut roh, who are they chasing in Watertown then?

Here's something to think about, if this started small and now sleeper cells are activated.. ? just an idea.. :s

again, it doesn't look like any national guard I've seen. They have always worn their GREEN uniform anytime and every time I have seen them..

and I saw them through the hurricanes, blizzards and other actions..

Education my butt, i'll still stand by the fact I wouldn't be happy seeing military units and if it is national guard, we should have a way to know easily without having to question what we're seeing captured on video.

These are visibly cops, FBI and national guard.

National guard in greens, cops in blue and FBI with big FBI, but it is odd seeing FBI in the desert cammo

Oh lord...

Just because they think there may be a car involved, doesn't mean they all just clear out and start chasing random grey honda CRV's all over the state.

Would you like the FBI to leave too?

On 9/11, they used the Air Force to escort planes, should they have relied on local police to do that instead?

Get a clue, guy. Expecting the BPD to handle this is ridiculous, they're not even looking in Boston, and expecting the Mass state police to take over is equally asinine, especially if they're searching for someone who may have fled to another state.

Very well said, now let's get back on topic.

Is anyone else wondering what the state of the rest of Massachusetts is? I mean, they supposedly have thousands of officers from all over MA there to help with the search. Wouldn't that mean some towns in the state or either completely unguarded or dangerously under-guarded? I'm not talking about being guarded from this psychopath. I'm thinking more along the lines of typical criminals.

Out of date information. That car was found and BOLO cancelled half an hour ago.

I posted that before the BOLO was even put out over the BPD dispatch channels, cause I heard it live a few minutes later. And I did hear the cancel of the BOLO after that. So I know it wasn't half an hour ago.

    • I wonder how many are laid off for cost savings, and this being blamed on AI to make it sound less scary and bad, for a more positive "modern, with the times" spin for investors? Because Oracle is down 14% the past year. We're also looking at a company struggling here.
    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.
