To 'decimate' means reduce by 10%, not reduce to 10% as most people think.

 

His statement is 100% correct

You do know decimate has multiple meanings, and the one you are referring to is far from the most commonly used one, right?

I was worried it was going to be just a teen drama as well and left the show...returned after s1 had finished and was pleasantly surprised it hadn't descended into that.  I wouldn't call it a kids show, then again I wouldn't let kids play GTA either so your mileage may vary.
