Man of Steel sequel to feature Batman (and others) (2016)

I think it's time they just bring in Kevin Conroy to dub the batman voice in these movies.  :P   Batman aside, now that I think about it a bit I think Affleck can do a good Wayne, he's got the playboy side down for sure imo.

He's still meant to be older that Superman in this movie :) This also mean he has had a few pupils along his side, so... Nightwing movie? Anyone?

About this Batman casting though, I'd like to keep my judgement until I have seen some footage but if I'd HAD to say something about it than it would be: "What the balls!". But that would be the same as when I read that Heath Ledger was going to play the Joker. I want to be positive about it but currently I can't, lol. Ben Affleck doesn't look like Bruce Wayne at all nor do I see him as a Batman :/

Also, the reason that Daredevil flopped wasn't Affleck's fault but the writers/directors. I mean, Colin Farrell's Bullseye sucked as well and his film career is still a success story. There's no reason to judge this based on a film that's been made 10 years ago, imo.

I would usually feel the same, especially after ledger and the dark knight, however i don't think ive ever seen a film or hint of a performance from Ben that would suggest he's any good for a role like this. His domain is definitely chick flicks.

This could be the beginning of the end, i think i would have rather they continued with some kind of dark wing / robin as batman thing with JGL in the role, i thought the end of DK rises set it up well.

I hope whatever superman and batman thing is it doesn't affect or stop the JGL story arc left by DKR.

I bet you meant Nightwing since Dark Wing isn't a thing, unless you meant Dark Wing Duck of course! I don't think his domain is necessarily chick flick, but I don't think it's Batman either.

And stopped The Dark Knight trilogy stopped with "The Dark Knight Rises". So I think it's safe to say that the JGL story arc has ended there as well. The way I saw the ending of The Dark Knight Rises is that they opted for an open ending to leave things up to imagination by the fans. Nolan already stated many times that he was making a trilogy and would stop after Rises. And to be honest, I'd much rather see a Nightwing movie with Dick Grayson as Nightwing and not Drake/Robin. Of course, Dick Grayson was the first Robin, but changing the Nightwing character like that just to keep the ending Rises linked with it would be wrong, imo.

I'd be more afraid that the Justice League films might not lift off the ground if this movie flops.

Why not just pick Matt Damon then, geez. I don't mind Affleck but he just doesn't look like someone who could pull off Batman. Also, he'd have to buff up, but then again alot of actors do that for roles so who knows in the end.

I guess I am one of the only ones that had no problem with Daredevil....

Don't feel bad, I'm the only one here who saw Reindeer Games. Hell, I had to be, cause if people had known what I was referring to, I'd got a little chuckle outta Someone!

Bale was a good character and the movies where good in their way.

Though I'm not sure I would call them Batman movies... Especially not the first. He didn't want to play the role any more anyway. And while I at this point cant say if Afleck is going to be good or not, I do want a more proper batman movie.

Ok, I've had some time to sit here and process the information. It isn't that I consider Ben Affleck to be a bad actor, I just can't see him playing Bruce Wayne/Batman effectively. There's something about him...

I like Ben Affleck, and I do rate him as an actor, but I don't think he's cut out for Batman.  I'd say the only thing he's got going for him is a defined jawline!

Saying that, I was skeptical over Bale as Batman, even though he is definitely a good character actor, I wasn't sure if I'd find him convincing.

Ben Affleck? No. <INSERT MEME HERE>

Also does this mean his buddy Damon is going to be Nightwing?

Keaton, Conway followed by Bale.

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
