it's not the files i need...it's the links to the files

that way i could make a little program that would automatically download all the patches and put them in the right places for each language...

that's my goal anyway.

,Dec 28 2003, 17:55] why not just use the bittorrent download? It never goes down as long as people are seeding it.. and it comes through error free for most people.

bittorrent i try that also does not matter if i have the download i click on it exe.

then it ry to unzip and i get error messages that files are damaged.

what i did also is trying to download by other ppl same resulte.

i think its a lost cause .

i will try the jan update if that also not work then i use winupdate again.

thanx enyway for your time.

byezzzzzz

1. Use BitTorrent, as it checks every 256kB to see if they are error free.

2. Check your RAM with memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/), it might be that your RAM module(s) are bad.

Had similar problem several days ago, when every CD I've burned didn't mach the ISO, when almost every part in eMule got corrupted and had to be redownloaded, when ~10% of bt packages where corrupted, when i couldn't make the exact copy of a big file (~700MB) ;) That was a horrible day ;)

And memtest86 showed, that there are ~79KB of bad memory cells at about 620/1024MB...

Hi cpugeniusmv,

Here enclosed you'll find a detailed .doc file. It's tok very much time to find.

All most the Autopatcher french links are included (I couldn't find all).

As I'm not a coder and don't be dead as idiot, TNX to enclose or PM yr little program. By the way, Is there any tool which rename selected files with a same extension and/or can change a part of text inside as the .axp files concerned from "_ENU" to "_FRA".

Also, I'm looking to add drivers to the plug and play list and appz (what code, where to add XP_SLIPSTEAM_BUILDER.bat or in the expanded autopatcher...)

High priority: Philips 150S3F monitor: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/1/150s3f_..._00_dxp_eng.zip (24k ? files 150s3.inf, 150s3.cat, Finder.dat and Ph_LCD15.icm)

Less priority:

Radeon 9000 DDR, how to add CATALYST Windows XP 3.10 - Driver http://www2.ati.com/drivers/wxp-w2k-cataly...2m1-012924c.exe

Soundblaster SB!Live: http://files.europe.creative.com/manualdn/...i-Pack(FRN).exe

Winrar...

AutoPatcher_Links_FR2.zip

A few suggestions...

For the main program, add a switch that disables the Auto-Detection of already installed patches...

OR

Make it so you can open the APDP with the DB Editor like so:

DBEditor.exe "path\whatever.apdb"

the names are wrong...because i'm too lazy to look what they are :)

either of those would greatly improve the ability to create the defaults for an unattended install ;) ;)

@RYU81: Download Accelerator Pro is messed up. It is spyware-ridden anyway, try FreshDownload.

@FlishFun: You should make a version of AutoPatcher that installs SP1, and offer both downloads.

Also, could you make a mirrors.txt file on your site that lists available mirrors? It would make it possible to make an AutoPatcher downloader that looks up available mirrors. I might do that. Anyway, could you make a mirrors file in this format?:

@AutoPatcher Mirror Data Format (1.0)

@Copyright ? 2003 Fast Memo Technologies, Jason Kelley, and Antonis Kaladis

:begin mirrors

:begin mirror

:namemirror name>

:locmirror location>

:edi fullfull URL>

:edi upgupgrade URL>

:edi fullspfull with SP1 URL>

:stat on

:end mirror...more mirrors>

:end mirrors

If the mirror does not have the full, the upgrade, or the full with SP1, ":edi full", ":edi upg", or ":edi fullsp" should be omitted respectively. If you won't do the full with SP1 version, then just never include the ":edi fullsp" tag.

This is what I did for sp1

I downloaded it from MS added a button to install SP1 on the menu, and put everything on cd. Ill ask flish if its cool to post the menu with the SP1 Install button and link info, then add instructions on where to add it in the file structure so it will work properly once you click the INSTALL SP1 Button. I did this for myself for some of the clients I have that did not have sp1 yet when I picked the account up. Your not going to get any Autopatcher that has SP1 with it because frankly the file would be way too big. You can download SP1 yourself and add it to your cd and use what Ill post to make your own.

By the way, its great to be back. Had a wonderfull vacation snowboarding and then going to vegas for a few days:))!!! Hope I did not miss much.

Does that sound ok to what your wanting?

    • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
