stop playing with dolls and learn futbol... a GK cant ever be touched in his area!!!

Hmm, Urs Meier didn't seem to mind Zlatan 'touching' Gigi Buffon for Sweden's goal (he was clearly holding Gigi). Ricardo didn't even try to jump, let alone was fouled, Urs Meier clearly stated that Ricardo was pushed, no one pushed Ricardo. John Terry went for the ball something he was entitled to do and Sol Campbell didn't even touch Ricardo. Consistency is all I ask for in a referee and a bit of bottle to send the host nation out of the tournament due to a valid goal.

Oh, we didn't get beat by the winners of Euro 2004 .... well not unless Urs is gonna referee all their matches.

And yes Riley should have given Latvia 2 penalties.

England lost Portugal won end of story. Why are all these fans crybabies? England will have their oppurtunity next year. Portugal won fair and square no doubt. England tried their best but Portugal GAVE it their best and at the end of penalties it was clear that Portugal was the winner (and my pick for champion).

Yes i know they eliminated Spain. That game sucked and Portugal just deserved to win.

View from a football noobie:

Only really got into football recently. Not a HUGE fan, but really enjoyed watching England play recently. Until this evening. We seemed dull. Although the ref did seem hugely biased, and handed out yellow cards to us, when portugal got none for similar offenses.

But hey, his decision is final, so pah!

I was gutted. A lot of people started smashing up local shops etc and lot of fights (Croydon, London). Crazy.

Some idiots had smashed a huge amount of glass in the middle of one of the roads on my way home from watching the match.. I sailed straight through it at 30MPH in my pride and joy and heard glass going everywhere.. better not be any flat tyres out there in the morning as a result!

I don't understand why they go smashing stuff up! Hello you retards, this is ENGLAND. We are ENGLAND FANS HERE. Don't smash up your own country!

Oh, and yeah, my mate said the ref looked like David Bowie.. but I thought he had a bit of a Richard Branson beard going on!! :)

Ricardo was going to catch the ball... and 2 england players were in front of him in his area... is fault... he cant be touched. i dont care about the others games and what the referee done there.. in this match when ricardo was going for the ball he was disturbed!!! imagine that that happen for calamity james?! open ur eyes ;)

omg some people cant take the fact tht they lost :p

I find that ironic.. I can't imagine the amount of grief and stuff from Portugal if the boot was on the other foot.

Your keeper looked like he was about to go ballistic every time he missed a save in the penalties (falling on the floor and praying, etc!!) , and they kept cutting to some Portugese woman in the crowd who was crying all the BLOODY time!! Oh, England scored *sob* - oh, Portugal scored *sob* - oh, its full time *sob* !!

    • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
