antally
I can pretty much guarantee you that it isn't the monitor. Looks like a video card problem to me, what are your sys specs?
wkkschb
i have similar problem.... it seems to happen a lot around the water hazard chapter. and only on wooden platforms, i guess it is a video card error or something. i finished HL2 in 3days on my laptop. i have a ATI 9700 64MB
Vice
I'm gonna take a stab at file corruption. goto steam, and run that HL2 / CS: source / HalfLife: Source file corruption scan thing.

Lexcyn
Try deleting your half-life 2 folder in: Steamapps -> yourusername -> half-life 2. If that doesn't help, try re-downloading your cache files. :)

Ironman273
Well, this is not about multiplayer, but I was playing HL2 and got to the prison level. Then my son started playing and when I got back to play, I realized all my saved games were gone. So my question is, is there any way that 2 people can play with different save games? BTW, I accidentally asked this in another thread and I wanted to start my own thread. The only answer I got before was to do "proper" saves instead of autosaves or quicksaves. I had made some saves, but they got overwritten also.
Rogue`
I remember this being a pain on HL1, cos at the time i was living home and me, my sister and father were playing....could never remember which one was which lol.... Only thing i can sugest is backing up your save game from \Steam\SteamApps\<username>\Half-Life 2\HL2\SAVE\ or at least, after u finish playing, make ur save game read-only or somat :/
yert*
The G-Man , is Gordon Freeman in (from) the future. 584978561[/snapback] That would be...pointless. THE GMAN IS NOT GORDON FREEMAN.
curme
I tried deleting my HL2 files, and that Source file corruption thingy. Still bad. I guess I'll try to re-install my 9800xt drivers next.
NeoXY
For sure can't be your monitor because if it is a physical monitor problem, then you will not be able to take a screen shot with that error. I'm going to say File corruption, and maybe re-installing your Graphic card driver could help....

sanctified Veteran Posted November 26, 2004 Veteran Share Posted November 26, 2004 I am replaying the final 3 levels again. Seriously, anyone can remember better levels in any FPS game than the last 3 in hl2?
remix17
Yeah the game is truly amazing. Gameplay is so dynamic and original. And the ending was done just right. It's too bad we're gonna have to wait another six years for HL3. But when it is out, I hope all the mysteries and secrets will finally be revealed. I can't wonder forver. nX07
Any new information? Did VALVe really take it out completely? or has someone found it hidden away somewhere? I can hardly see this being taken out yet some MP code still left in?

wd40
I read this and cracked up so I thought I'd share. Hundreds of buyers of "Half-Life 2," the hotly anticipated shooting game released last week, are reporting in developer Valve Software's user forums that they feel queasy and often develop a bad headache after playing the game for as little as an hour.
