shuuuure its real.

you either used one of those sites where you can create a wep, or private server.

So I had an interesting experience today while trying to do a quest called "Help Those That Cannot Help Themselves".

The quest giver was giving me a Legendary sword that apparently does not exist, according to the GM I spoke with about my issue.

lolwtf2.jpg

lolwtf.jpg

But it does exist... still haven't got the stupid quest done yet. I want the ring that I get at the end of the chain already. Sadly I can't even equip the sword, so it's less than useless. :pinch:

Erm, private server? No...it's on a real server, unless I'm paying 15 bucks a month for nothing. Why would I show off something I can't

even use?

But hey, thanks for doubting me. I'm really shocked...that was NOT the reaction I was expecting. It's nice when people automatically think the worst of you. So yeah..I'd donate to a forum which doesn't require it for access and is in fact free but won't pay to play a game? *shrug*

according to the GM I spoke with about my issue.

Screenshot of said conversation. Do you enjoy playing on Antwow? Also, if you did get on live servers it would have been data mined long before it received and would be on sites such as WoWhead, thottbot, Alla, WoWDB etc. Another thing was the sword first appeared not but on 1-03 as an (assumed) trolling attempt on the o-boards in which the OP deleted. (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14133094465&sid=1&pageNo=1)

It's not on a real server, which means A) you play on private server or B) you came across the image and to make yourself sound more like a wow player you spun the story as your own.

Why on earth would I do that? So I can brag about something that can't be used? Because I need you guys to know that I'm legit? If I was making it up wouldn't I say I could use it and totally own everything? Whatever, the problem has been fixed and I finished the quest chain and got my ring. Thanks for doubting me.

Also, I'm sure you'll say I'm faking this too but here's my armory profile for my death knight. And if that's not enough, here's my mage. It's only level 70 because I just started playing WoW again last week after stopping 10ish months ago and have only been playing the death knight since I started again.

Did I hack the wow servers to create those? Or are they really mine? Eh...the name is in the picture, so whatever.

Just leave him alone. If it happened on a retail server "ZOMGAWD HW DID DAT HAPPENZ", If it was on a pServer then "live and let live" ^__^

Edit - I quit WoW when my 66 DK has 10k hp =( .. I wanna go back and tank again! linkeh.armory has it in blood presence I think>

Whatever, the problem has been fixed and I finished the quest chain and got my ring.

Looking at the pic, I searched the quest in question and checked it. (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11876) It's a three part chain, no reward is a ring. So how did you get a ring if none provide a ring, unless of course you got all confused, which happens, I guess.

Why on earth would I do that? So I can brag about something that can't be used?

Yup, people do it all the time.

Thanks for doubting me.

Still do.

Did I hack the wow servers to create those? Or are they really mine? Eh...the name is in the picture, so whatever.

Can't "hack" wow servers, I suppose you could, but I doubt it, otherwise there would be hell.

I should correct myself. We don't want people posting about what they have seen or played on a private server. This thread is for people who play the game on live servers. I'm not saying the characters linked aren't yours. I'm not saying you don't play on current servers, what I am saying is that item does not exist on live servers. It would have been find if it did. There are websites and servers where you can create this server. A quick google search for "heartslicer" shows that it's an "ultimate" weapon on the private seraver known as Antwow. The only other wow related result came from Blizzard's offical forums where it was deemed fake and an troll attempt.

The item isn't on live servers. It never has been, it never will be.

On a further note, according to armory you have Ogre Slayer's Band and Scout's Signet ring as your equip'd rings. So by you stating you got the ring from that quest which gave you the fake legendary, I can only assume one of which is an reward from that quest/chain. First up is Ogre Slayer's Band which comes from a group quest in Nagrand. The other ring actually comes from a quest chain in Borean Tundra, but not he one you stated it came from.

And one last note I noticed. In the picture it shows you receiving the "HeartSlicer" and then accepting the quest "Help Those That Help Themselves". But you see the thing is when you accept "Help Those That Help Themselves" you are provided a D.E.H.T.A Trap Smasher. And you would recieve the item before the quest accepted message appeared. So I can only assume, you played on a private server (or somebody on the computer where this apprantly happened) and that private server used the item number, 35228 (the item that is given to you to do the quest) as the item number for the fake legendary, "HeartSlicer". And the reason it appear to you, was because your cache was not cleared. So when you recieved that item it appeared to you as the legendary and not as the D.E.H.T.A Trap Smasher.

Of course you could prove this all, but uploading the full screenshot (you apprantly edited it) and we can see the full chat log, etc. to see if you did recieve the D.E.H.T.A Trap Smasher.

Otherwise have a good day sir.

You're so good at finding out irrelevant information. Do you get achievement points for that? Read the third post by Moonfeather. It's a quest chain that has to be completed before you can get the quest that gives the ring. And I've never heard of antwow. You apparently know more about it than I do.

Anyhow, I guess I'll just have to live with you doubting me. It really doesn't affect me at all. I'm just so shocked you're jumping on my case for posting something that I thought was strange. I wasn't trying to "show off". I'd remove the post if I could but it won't let me edit it. Anyhow, I'm not going to try to disprove you anymore because I don't care what you think, and I'll show myself to the door of this thread and won't post here anymore because I'm been greeted so warmly.

Edit: Also, mods can remove my posts in this thread if they want, it's been slightly derailed by something I thought was completely innocent. But apparently not.

So, my first roll is a druid and I'm currently at 33 running through quests in Desolace. I am speccing for feral as I solo about 99% of the time - the other 1% I'll run through instances with my guild, whom all are 70+ but I try to do my part until I get to where they are. One thing I am finding is that cat form is much more suited for leveling than I thought. I had always heard about bear form and while it gets me great armor and such, my DPS for it sucks. I don't know if I screwed something up somewhere or my equips aren't right (I've been focusing on +stam, +agi). Or maybe I just am confused and bear form is more suited for tanking in groups as opposed to actually leveling?

Bear form is meant for tanking in instances, or when you pull too many mobs by accident while questing :p

I wouldn't focus on stam so much for cat, agil is the way to go. Stam is more so a bear stat.

I leveled from 10-70 as feral and i found it very fun, then 70-80 as moonkin.

Ahh you wanted the ring from Harold Lane, which you character didn't have equip'd at the time you stated. It does now though.

I only know of antwow, because it's one of two World of Warcraft sites that appear as a result of Google's search for "HeartSlicer". One being a post on the WOW O-boards that was deleted and the other being at Antwow, where it was discussed against the Ashbringer as to which was better to upgrade. The point was the only place this weapon was discussed was on a private server. The discussion of the sword at the O-boards simply stated it wasn't real which is all I'm doing.

It would be best. Anything done a private server warrants no discussion as it isn't the game, how its meant to be played. Of course you could potential win, by posting the full screenshot when you allegdly took the screenshot and not the edited versions that you did.

Look there's me talking to the GM. But I suppose the tag can be faked as well? I've even got the email...but I suppose that can be faked too? I actually thought I didn't have the pictures anymore. And also I posted edited pics because I didn't want to post a huge full sized picture.

shame that you dont have it anymore, as i still think its a private server. and beause yous aid you dont have it anymore, kinda protected yourself from going to UC and slapping it in the do not trade box.

personally i think your cache is the private server still also

Also i have that item mod, the +'s only show up on the weapon being hovered over, not the currently equiped.

I don't get exactly what you're saying with the first part.

And as for the second, you can change the settings of the mod to only show the difference in the equiped vs the hovered item. I guess because my mod differs from yours that's a sign I'm up to something devious? :pinch:

The mod is Ratingsbuster, btw.

i know what its called, cause i use it

this is what is shows on the currently equiped item

ratingbuster1.jpg

and on the item your UNEQUIPED item hovering over

ratingbuster2.jpg

raiting buster stats are missing off the heartseeker, but they are on the item currently equiped giving it a little over 100 + atk power over ITSELF

I don't get exactly what you're saying with the first part.

tradgedy is telling the truth well at least its not private server

go look up the names

Dergan

stormyknight

Cubbs

Kendora

Dergan has the exact same weapon on them (axe of frozen death) only know cause I use that same weapon

the Dergan is also level 70

its photoshoped though its a level 60 reqiurment... that and I have seen that exact weapon in other photoshoped pictures

it was actually a thread for photoshoping

but the character is actually on a live server and so was everyone else who was whisperd

And what did the e-mail tell you?

The item isn't real, it doesn't exist on live servers at all. You didn't recieve the quest item which you should have when you accepted the quest, which shows your cache/DB wasn't the live one and had the cache of a private server, which is why it appeared you got Heartslicer and not the Trap Smasher (which isn't in your bag). But wait, if you would like proof, here's the link to the item you get for accepting the quest, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35228. Notice how the item icon for it is exactly like what your "Heartslicer" is, except your is an orange box.

Which means you accepted the quest, received the quest item, D.E.H.T.A Trap Smasher, but since you had played on a private server it showed up as Heartslicer.

Item doesn't exsist on live servers, and is product of a private server. Sorry guy, it's not real. Stop denying you played on a private server, because you did, and I just proved it, using your own provided screenshots.

Now follow the e-mail and delete your WTF Folder and Cache folder as I'm 99% sure it told you do that. And you will never see the item again.

but the character is actually on a live server and so was everyone else who was whisperd

Not doubting it's on a live server, doubting the item exists. Could all be photoshop'd, but regardless Tragedy is lying about playing on a private server.

I've already stated that last page. You should read. Tragedy was being stubborn about it being real, so I just try to prove to him it wasn't. Which is what I did. He doesn't want to believe it's photoshop'd and as I can't prove it was (if you can please do instead of saying it is), however I can prove it's not real, which is what I did.

In the list of pros, it comes with a high-quality headphone amp, low-latency communication enhancements via ASIO v2.3, offers 256-times the audio quality of CDs via DSD256, and has great build quality. On the other hand, it's a bit on the pricier side, only offers stereo output over speakers, and has no EMI shielding. More price drops! We got you covered with some hot tech deals all week. • It certainly is a waste of time clicking it if you're not interested in Windows 11's development. If that were the case for you, you could easily ignore the headline and move on given the headline makes it clear that's what the article is about. Instead, you're contradicting yourself here calling it a waste of time yet clicking on the headline and commenting... If it were a totally different topic being presented than what's stated in the headline, then you'd certainly have a point, 'cause that's totally deceptive and unavoidable if not actually interested. On the contrary, here you can totally avoid it if you're truly not interested.
    • No, it did not work. I did not read the article. I saw the title in my Feedly feed and came to continue putting pressure about such titles on a website I used to love. In fact, based on your reply, it seems you think it's fine to visit click bait title articles to find out what it's about, to waste people's time. That's up to you, mate. I remember when news websites had pride in their content and therefore didn't need to resort to cheap tactics.
