Not much to report on my WoW Front other than like .. 4 days ago, I ran with my guild through naxx, Gluth, dropped Leggings of the Lost Vanquisher I missed the roll by one..

We go on to Thaddius and again, the Leggings of the Lost Vanquisher drop. I panicked.

This was like a dream come true as I haven't been running with my guild very much as I've been rather bored of lately.

Also when I /roll my /rolls do not appear at all for whatever reason.

My guild keeps me in total suspense.

My guild leader says after a few minutes ... "After 44 total runs for these leggings I would humbly like to congratulate Minifig on finally getting his leggings and only needing one more item for his DK's t7 .." on Vent..

I nearly fainted I was so happy.

Northrend Beasts down. That fight was stupidly easy. We used two tanks the entire time. One attempt the other tank dc'd, and the other tank just kept tanking Icehowl up to 13 stacks till Ice'd died. Took 5 attempts. Two due to people not knowing how to strafe and other little things. And the other two due to massive DC'ing.

Now on to Yogg. Hope we kill this ****er. It's my birthday!

44 runs...for one piece of gear? Sad. And people say WoW isn't a grind.

hmm.. if you run 44 times for 1 piece of gear... there is something wrong. Hell, I ran uld 25 for 3 weeks got my 8.5 chest, and shoulders, aswell as enough badges for my helm >.< Get running uld if you were already mostly 7.5....

So I just logged on a few minutes ago, got into a group for heroic Trial of the Champion, started the instance up, and my realm went down for "emergency maintenance"

Hopefully it will only be a few minutes.

I was looking to sell my account (i know i know), but I just got a new laptop for school... wow now i feel like resubscribing! My old laptop (intel x3100) could do 10fps on low settings. lol. This one (nvidia 9600gt) does 20-30 on ultra! I can finally play with bearable FPS!

I feel your pain. I get about 15-20 FPS solo, 10-15 FPS in 5 man, 6-12 FPS in 10 man, and 2-5 FPS in 25 man.

She has lurked in her lair and done battle with the many brave adventurers who travelled to that familiar location over the years. Now, in honor of the World of Warcraft 5-year anniversary, the dreaded brood mother Onyxia is being revamped to make a return to the forefront of Azeroth, as part of our big plans for the upcoming 3.2.2 content patch.

MORE DOTS, MORE DOTS... STOP DOTS

Has anyone played a ret paladin? I'm doing roughly 1000 dps less than I should and I keep checking my spec, glyphs, etc to see if I did something incredibly stupid to warrent the lack of dps but I havent found anything. x.x

Blizzard support for billing and tech is the best. I couldn't remember my WoW username since it has been over a year since I played, asked the email and my name and instantly saved me. I was going through every since username I've ever used and emails and nothing was popping up. <3

    • I wonder how many are laid off for cost savings, and this being blamed on AI to make it sound less scary and bad, for a more positive "modern, with the times" spin for investors? Because Oracle is down 14% the past year. We're looking at a company struggling here. If AI would actually be working out so well for them that they can do massive layoffs, surely this would've been reflected the past year in their stock value?
    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.
