PC: Deus Ex - The story was so enthralling and when combined with the enormity of the stages and augmentations and non-linear (semi) gameplay....wow..just wow

Runner Up: Half Life - Storyline plain and simple

PS1: Resident Evil 1 - Unforgettable experience...kept me up all night...dogs through windows anyone?

Runner Up: Metal Gear Solid 1 - Characters that felt alive meshed with an intriguing story wrapped with stealth as opposed to the majority of run and gun type games

So many more great games....I feel shamed to have only listed those...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

totally agree, this game was the first game i actually played and brought me into gaming. Loved it so much, the story was great and a decent challenge to beat. Still remember the first time i beat it

Phantasy Star Online (PSO) for dreamcast was one of my favorties back in the day when it was free. PSO was the only game i would actually stay up all night and play. Now i dont play any games for more than an hour if i play at all :( so sad.
