I don't know what the differences between the Deluxe, Compact, and regular versions are.

"Tom ,

The New EZ4 has 2 version , they are fully new design , like the shell (outer cases) of M3L , so the PCB will short than the EZ4 Lite TF Version. one version of the new EZ4 also can play the GBA rom and other cannot. but will it come with another color shells , we do not know now. the new EZ4 will comes at after 1~2 weeks . the EZ4 writer software will be same.

Br,

Someone got a response. Deluxe will probably support GBA/NDS. Compact will probably just support the DS and will be a little shorter.

A bunch of M3 Lite pics have been posted. Looks very nice, but sticks out a tiny bit more than the dust cover. It's out in 2 days. Yaaay!!! I'll be ordering one from kicktrading as soon as he has them.

What is the speed of the GUI like? Is it slow and delayed? It looks nice and I am interested in it, but I don't want one that will be slow or anything.

If you've used Moonshell, it's actually a custom version of Moonshell but with touchscreen support and a few other featuers added on. I've never used an M3 myself, but I've never heard any complaints that the GUI is slow, so I would imagine it's not a problem. There are also lots of nice custom GUI's for it, including this fantastic Vista one (note: not all the buttons are functional, some are just for looks):

Hey guys! I have a weird problem.

I got StarFox Command (US) and i can't get it to run from the SD card. The only way i got it to run was make it run off of SuperCard ("ROM position patch" switched to "Super Card").

Oddly enough, i WAS playing it on "SD Card". But now all i get is a white screen on boot up.

My settings for that rom is:

- Saver Patch: SD Card

- ROM Position Patch: Super Card

[X] Enable Restart

[_] Enable Trim Rom

[X] Faster Play Game

[_] iQue Game

[_] Enable GBA Union

[X] Enable patch Cartridge acess

Any help from you guys? The odd thing is that it was running off of the SD Card before

Well i got a N:DS today, the only one in the shop was the nintendogs pack but oh well.

Anyway I know this thread has information but I wonder if someone can help me quickly.

All I want to do with my ds is have it so I can place games on a memory card and play them in the DS. Thats it. No movies, or mp3s or anything like that.

What equipment do i need? And where do I get it? I live in the uk!

Thanks

talking about illegally running games on the DS is taboo here :p

any flash cart will do what you want to do.. but you shouldn't be lazy this thread has lots of information on the different carts.. but to put it short since you have the old fat ds since it is the nintendogs pack, you should get one of the old supercards or m3 setups that fit nicely in the ds fat. the new ones like supercard lite, m3 lite etc won't fit.

I didnt actually mention any illegal about games. I just want this, because I dont want to carry all my games around with me, when I can back them up on one small card. Alot easier for me.

you need a SuperKey or a PassCard3 and a M3 Lite or a SuperCard (Lite or not).

that's it.

aaaand i fixed my problem. i backed up my SD card, formatted it, repatched star fox (same settings) and copied over: it worked again   :p :)

Kicktrading has the M3 Lite in stock. The M3 Lite alone has sold out already, but he still has the Passcard 3 bundle as of now.

I just ordered the bundle.. I wish it didnt cost that much . :( .. $142CDN after shipping.

Ji@nBing: is this bundle in English (dunno if there is another language or not)?

Edited by rayjin

Yep. This is the English version. I had to order the bundle too. I already have a Superkey so I don't need the passcard. If anyone is looking for one, make me an offer ;)

Great stuff.. I can't wait for it to arrive.... BTW, which MicroSD do you recommend?

Get a big one. Aparantly the Ultra II versions (with 60x write speed) for whatever brand that is perform slightly better than the normal versions, but I haven't encountered any problems with my vanilla Kingston 1gig.

What's vanilla Kingston... is that the color of the card??? I've seen a red Kingston microSD.. not sure what speed those are.

Kingston are good for M3 apparently. Basically get as fast as one as you can find. Reports thus far are that the M3 Lite doesn't share the same preformance boost over the other versions that the SC Lite did.

Is this because the M3 was already good before?

Is this because the M3 was already good before?

Well, it was already good before, but the SC Lite has a vast improvement in preformance with all brands of cards over previous versions of the SC. For instance, with the Castlevania video test (the into movie to Castlevania is used as a standard for preformance), the M3 Lite still gets severe stutters with a vanilla Sandisk. The SC runs it perfectly smooth with all cards. On the other hand, the SC Lite still hasn't caught up with the M3 in terms of GBA preformance. But the SC Lite is a clear imrovement over previous SC's in terms of speed. The M3 Lite, from what I've heard till now, has little to no speed increase over previous M3's.

:woot: My M3 Lite has been shipped by Kicktrading and will be here in a few days. Can't say enough good things about kicktrading. He was out of just the M3 Lite and only had the M3 Lite/Passcard 3 bundles left, so I ordered that. I told him in the confirmation mail that I don't need the Passcard 3, so he offered to break up one of the bundles and just sell me the M3 Lite. Great service, unlike Divineo who stole my money  .

On a side note, the DS-X will be out on the 18th. It will be interesting to see some reviews.

    • Snap Inc. launches new SPECS augmented reality glasses (for 'just' $2,195) by Aditya Tiwari Image: Snap Inc. Smartglasses powered by augmented reality are the latest fashion because the smartphone market is slowly reaching saturation. Snap Inc. announced its latest AR-powered smartglasses, called SPECS, that aim to strike a middle ground between underpowered AI glasses and heavy headsets you can't wear all the time. Available in two sizes, Snap SPECS are made from high-performance Swiss TR90 polymer and feature removable inserts to support prescription lenses. Its 47mm model weighs about 132g; the bigger 52mm model weighs 136g. Snap Inc has been spreading the word about the new glasses for a while now. Earlier this year, it even spun off its smart glasses team into a subsidiary called Specs Inc. Its proprietary LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) display delivers a 51-degree field of view and 16 million colors. Snap says the device gives the feel of a 24-inch desktop monitor when you're working, and of a 115-inch home cinema screen placed about 10 feet away when watching a movie. A pair of custom stereo speakers and 6x high-SNR MEMS microphones are built into the temples of the smartglasses to deliver open-ear audio while you cast a screen, stream content, open a whiteboard, or collaborate with others. Snap Inc. patted itself on the back, saying the smartglasses don't need tethering or a puck to connect to a computer. Under the hood, SPECS draw its power from two Snapdragon processors: one for computer vision and another for running Lenses. The device supports fast hand tracking, low latency, and responsive interactions that help digital content feel anchored in the real world, according to the company, which claims that SPECS can "deliver 7-millisecond motion-to-photon latency." The smartglasses offer up to four hours of battery life on a single charge while providing AI assistance, Bluetooth notifications, Lenses, audio/video playback, and more. The battery life could jump to 20 hours of mixed use when the charging case is included. Image: Snap Inc. You can view and interact with AR Lenses anchored directly to the physical world around you, and an on-board AI assistant uses the camera to see what's around to answer questions or provide real-time help with tasks. Snap Inc. noted that it filed more than 7,000 patents during the development of SPECS. It's trying to build the required digital ecosystem around the smartglasses, and said that developers have already published hundreds of Lenses for SPECS. Moreover, their electrochromic lenses use the same technology available in Boeing 787 Dreamliner windows, enabling them to shift from clear to tinted in just 10 seconds when you walk out of your house. Snap SPECS are now available for pre-order on the official website with a $2,195 price tag ($200 refundable deposit). The smartglasses are expected to ship in the US, UK, and France during the Fall this year.
    • Sound Booster 1.13 Build 575 by Razvan Serea Increase volume on your laptop. Boost the volume of even very quiet speakers. Raise volume above maximum. Letasoft Sound Booster can be used as an extra amplifier when the volume of the program you are listening to is too low for comfortable listening and you feel that your PC’s speakers can produce a louder sound. This can be the case when the audio or video has been recorded at the level below normal. Or, for example, when the other person’s microphone you are talking to on Skype, is not working properly. There can be a plenty of other reasons why the sound is being too quiet and there is not much you can do about it except buy external speakers. Sound of any application that is being played in the system can be amplified up to 500%. Letasoft Sound Booster can raise volume of programs like web browsers, on-line communication software (Teams, Discord, Zoom), any kind of media player or games. Simply put, volume of virtually any program that can play any sound in PC, can be boosted to a comfortable level with Letasoft Sound Booster. You can control current volume with the pop-up slider from the system tray. Alternatively, you can assign system-wide hot keys for increasing and decreasing, and use them when you need to adjust volume Letasoft Sound Booster constantly monitors current gain level and prevents samples from clipping, thus reducing all major sound distortions. • I own these and the normal QuietComfort ones from Bose. The QC are amazing and I want to love these, but for the life of me, I have a terrible time getting them attached to my ears.
