yea a game where the ball rarly touches the foot. makes so much sense when you think about it ;)

hehe I agree with you, but I've never said it is making sens to name it football either :)

But I don't get it why ppl gets so mad about it. British says colour and americain say color!

This is just a difference pronounciation that makes more culture. That is the beauty of the entire earth... difference ;)

I'm English and live in England, and support Germany and think that this whole England flag thing is utter nonsense bordering on extremist nationalism. I hate all these cars with England flags attached to them.

Imagine if i put a German flag on my car, imagine the reaction of some "England supporters" - i have no doubt that it would end in some kind of violence - which is the basis for my dislike of this England flag nonsense.... the kind of person who has one is by their having one, intolerant.

A lot of people who bear the England flag on their cars - and they're not in the majority - are more often than not, Nationalistic, Racist (look down on ethnic monirities), Daily Mail reading (thugs), most likely brain dead....

Bearing an England flag in itself is an innocuous act, but my point is that behind such an act: the difference between someone who will make an effort to do it, and someone who will not, often lies the kind of person described above.

Finding the flag on Neowin I actually cried out : "Nooooooooooo!" and seriously considered not visiting the site again until after the world cup.

In any case, isn't Neowin an extremely diverse and multi-cultural/national community. I find it a bit off putting that the site would declare it support of England so prominently when those of other nationalities are so often visitors here. It'd be better if a flag on the homepage wasn't there..... for all of us.

First of all, I'm going to say this. You sir, redefine 'bull****'. I don't think I have read such crap.

I'm English and live in England, and support Germany and think that this whole England flag thing is utter nonsense bordering on extremist nationalism. I hate all these cars with England flags attached to them.

You can support Germany, no one is saying you can't, but if people who are English want to put flag's on their cars and hang them from their houses and windows, they can, for two simple facts. They either support England, or live in England. How is it extremist nationalism? Is this not England? Is the flag of England not the St. Georges cross? It is the symbol of this great country, if you like it or not.

Be it so, that some people are intolerant of others, but you will find the majority are this way because they are patriotic, they love their country, and this is why.

You sir, are a moron. They bear the England flag on their cars because of what I have already said, they are supporters of this country and its football team. I have a St. Georges cross hanging from my window every day of the year, and no I'm not brain dead, nor am I racist. I'm English, I live in England, was born and will die hear. I'm patriotic and love my country. Simple as that. And the greatest fact all over is, that the St Georges cross, is the flag of England. Not the Germany flag. And look down on others? No sir, thats just stupid. Why would I look down on others because I have a flag flying proudly from my house?

[insert Nazi salute here]

And I hope I don't cause any offence to anyone of the German nation, and believe me, I intend non. But, where did the Nazi's come from? And team did you say you supported?

And really, after all that rubbish you can actually call yourself English?

lol dnno what there is to hate about it.

And i think there should be a rule about what people call the sport, its not soccer  , it was invented by english people we call it "football" we dont take your sports and give them stupid names lmao

Do some research. The term "Soccer" was coined by an Englishmen, to differentiate it from rugby football. So the very people who complain the loudest about people calling the sport soccer actually invented the word to be used as it is used now by everyone who is not from the UK.

Does anyone support Brazil? Or am I the only one.... I support Brazil not because they are the most publicized but because of their fantastic offense and team work. Despite their terrible game versus Croatia, I believe that Brazil will win! 6th!! w00T!

And all you lazy bastards out there who thinks sports are for jocks... screw you coz you can never last in the survival of the fittest. Yeah!!! lol

why would they call rugby football though? The majority of the game, the ball doesnt touch the players feet!

and get over it, think about it, redmak isnt from England, its his site, is he complaining?

Imo, if you dont like it, lump it, i dont really see what the problem is anyway, after all, we are going to win the cup ;)

I think that Rugby football was around before the modern day football.

    • I have never been a huge fan of libre, it feels really good but exactly when you need an advance feature for data wrangling it falls short every time or has bugs. I am all for euro office if they can deliver a good and usable alternative to MS office with backing of govt function.
    • Go on, I'll bite. How does windows (nice comment on an 'article' which doesn't actually involve it ) lock users out of their data then? Been using it since 3.1 back in 92 and not once have I been locked out of my data? Perhaps you mean Bitlocker? In which case the average user (who doesn't mess about) will have been forced to use a MSA, and in which case the recovery key would have been saved to said account..... If the user did happen to bodge around and not use an MSA then Bitlocker wouldn't have become live (as it cannot without a safe place to store the key) I want to point out Bitlocker and MSA are not connected and you can of course force it on without a safe place to store the key, but you do that with your eyes open. So your standard consumer who knows no better sets up an MSA, gets bitlocker and a recovery key stored off box, with a route to reset their password. All of this notwithstanding the fact, if your data is important, you back it up, no ifs, no buts, no-ones responsibility other than your own. Important data lives in at least two locations, one of which is offline and recovery is tested, otherwise that data wasn't really that important. Disks, fail, laptops get lost, phones end up down the toilet, tablets get stolen, if your only copy of data is on a single device you're doing it wrong.
    • Clearly that feature isn't for us. It's for the ad spam marketers so they can more directly target us about going to places we might want to go again...but without understanding context clues. Like for the flight someone took for a friend's funeral. We want to be reminded of that every time we open an app, a browser, or email, right? Right, Siri?
    • Is your Apple Watch supported? Check the watchOS 27 compatibility list by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with a ton of announcements, mostly centered around Apple Intelligence improvements, the Siri AI, and Liquid Glass updates. However, there is a lot of other stuff that couldn't catch the limelight. Let's talk about watchOS 27 and which models are supported by the newest operating system. According to the Cupertino giant, watchOS 27 will be supported on the following Apple Watch models when it arrives later this year: Apple Watch Ultra 3 Apple Watch Series 11 Apple Watch SE 3 Apple Watch Series 10 Apple Watch Ultra 2 It's a stark contrast with last year's watchOS 26 update, which had almost a dozen Apple Watch models in its list of supported devices. Apple supported models all the way back to Apple Watch Series 6. That said, if you own one of the five models, you'll need an iPhone 11 (or later) with iOS 27 to install the latest update. Yes, Apple has shown some extra love to the iPhone 11, and it old horse supports the iOS 27 update. watchOS 27 beta 1 is now available for developers and interested power users through the Apple Developer Program. So, if you're among those who like to play with fire, you can download it to your supported Apple Watch. Otherwise, the public beta for watchOS 27 will be available next month. The freshly baked Apple Watch update comes with Siri AI - an advanced, fully conversational version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence due for later this year. A new dynamic app grid features icons for five Siri-suggested apps. You can use a new tap gesture to open a widget in the Smart Stack, and a new Find My app finally clears the mess of Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People on Apple Watch. Workout Buddy can run without an iPhone nearby and offers new insights based on data, including your progress for pace, distance, and workout duration. Apple improved its motion tracking algorithms to measure the distance of indoor treadmill runs and walks more precisely. Speaking of other changes, the music playback on watchOS 27 starts faster and you can create custom passes for any membership or card that uses a QR code or barcode, then easily access them in the Wallet app or pin in the Smart Stack.
    • "and pull old flight details from your email during back-and-forth conversations" The Siri I've become to know and trust. I've always wanted to pull info on old flights. /s
