Castlevania SOTN should be up next day...lemme know how it goes, if it goes well, I may purchase it as it was one of the great games in ps's one days.

It's now up and as great as ever... but where is the promised native widescreen? I still have to stretch it...

I'm waiting for some proper 3D games, like ports from the PS1 or N64 maybe. I've said it before, Banjo-Kazooie or Goldeneye would own... but probably never gonna happen. Odd, since MS own Rare.

GE probably wont be released as i heard Nintendo still own some of the rights, plus it will probably need to get the rights again from the film company if the game is modified

Banjo is looking unlikely as theres a sequel around the corner, but you never know. They might release it after if they ever do

Rare's Jetpac Refuelled Next Weeks Release (Weds, March 28th)

March 23, 2007 - Jetpac Refuelled, a remastering of Rare's first game, is coming to Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday, March 28. Created in 1983 under Rare's early company name of Ultimate Play the Game, Jetpac puts you in the role of a test pilot for the Acme Interstellar Transport Company. Your goal is to deliver and then assemble Spaceship Kits on a variety of planets while battling the hostile inhabitants.

Refuelled includes swank hi-def graphics, powerful new smartbombs to quickly lay waste to the attacking alien hordes, 200 Achievement Points just waiting to be earned and 128 new levels to master. The classic version, with all 16 levels intact, is available from the game menu.

Source: IGN (has a nice gameplay video)

From the video on the page above I linked to, it ooks like it supports two player, hopefully through CoOp, and has a very stylized look and feel to it. Definitely going to give it a free whirl for sure, and it appears it may be a buyer.

see, echnoise agrees, we are all feeling copi opish. it is certainly a term, and you coined it alright. pun intended?

as for double dragon, they promised it and i was under the impression it was forthcoming. hope there's no holdup.

Hey guys since my DVD-ROM is broken on my 360, been forced to rely on Xbox Live Arcade/demos lol.

But anyway, I recommend that all of you at least download/play the demo of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Why? It's one of the greatest video games ever. They do the game great justice with this port, and everything you would find in the PSX version is included, as well as filters to make the game more visually impressive.

I've been playing it and it is a lot of fun. The gameplay has really improved from Castlevania 1, 2, and 3. Plus it features my favorite character from Castlevania 3, Alucard. It also bares a striking resemblance with the Metroid series (the 2d ones) in both level layout and item collecting.

Cool game!

I wish there was a widescreen mode though :(. You can stretch the image, so at least they give you some options, but I sure would like to see a little more to the left and right while utilizing my full screen ;). Somehow I doubt there will be any update to add full widescreen support.

My friend is going ape-**** for a Perfect Dark arcade port lol, but I have to say if they put Goldeneye in, that'll be even better for me personally lol.

I guess I've only ever played multi-player Goldeneye. Played it a bunch of times and got pretty good at it. Still liked games like Quake more :p.

    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
    • On my music making (non internet) PC Sony Acid Pro 7.0 Adobe Audition 2015 Korg Legacy Collection Windows 7 SP1
    • Anyway to download these versions without being on the Experimental builds?
