Charlotte, NC here!

Today in the mail (USPS), I received Vista Business and Office 2007 Pro from the PowerTogether promo.

I did both offers and faxed in my W-9 the second day the fax could be accepted (after receiving the email about filling out the W-9).

Last name begins with "E".

Special thanks to Mark Brown, Microsoft, and Catalysis for a successful promotion! :D

I like how you decorated everything to make for a nice little screenshot

I got my Office 2007 today. No fancy picture to show you since my digital camera has stopped working out of nowhere. It's the same as everyone else. Plain manila envelope with a cardboard case featuring the key and link.

I'm in Northern Kentucky right across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. I'd say anyone in this region should get theirs today.

Can Vista being Installed and Activated, then order the 64bit version and when you receive it format your hard drive and reinstall the new vista 64 bit...

Yes. However... if you've activated the 32-bit copy that counts towards your number of activations. Installing x64 must be a clean install, so it will take yet another activation. I think you have a limit of 10 before you have to get on the phone and talk to MS customer support.

Does Anybody have a link to the 2nd part of the office download?

There's a link somewhere earlier in the thread, check back a few pages. If you really need the business contact manager...

Am I correct in assuming the 64-bit is available only on DVD, and not downloadable....

is that a joke?

Smart Alec... not everyone knows what their CPU is capable of...

download CPU-Z and run it, it will tell you what your CPU supports on the main page, like SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EM64T, x64, etc.... if you see a "64" you have 64 bit capability

Taken from page 98 (this topic is getting a wee bit crowded, I know):

Here are the direct links to the files:

There is suppose to be two downloads but they forgot part 2 on the sleeve that they mailed out.

Thanks for the comment NightmarE D.

I wanted to make my pic just a little different than others posted.

The "Microsoft" blocks are from when I was a Technical Support Engineer at MS PSS-East in Charlotte, way back in 1993. They were given to me (and others) for customer compliments and for completing various training. I've seen TSE's with literally hundreds of them in their cubicle.

And my "little friends" are from watching MSDN webcast last year. They were very excited to see what the mailman brought today! :woot:

Also glad to see you got your gift too!

Killer 5th

    • But we are talking about Elon Musk, no AT&T... I know big companies are evil, but Elon and his companies are in another level which is much more dangerous.
    • New PowerToys update fixes memory leaks and other issues by Taras Buria Another bug-fixing update is available for PowerToys version 0.100. After releasing version 0.100.1 with a bunch of bug fixes and patches, Microsoft pushed version 0.100.2 to address two important issues with one of Command Palette Dock's features. With PowerToys 0.100.2, Microsoft fixed the performance meter displaying incorrect values and memory leaks, which are particularly unwanted things in the current situation with overpriced PC hardware. Here is the changelog: Reverted a Performance Monitor dock refresh change that forced item refreshes on every metric update Fixed a memory leak in the Performance Monitor dock extension by reusing stable network upload/download band items instead of creating new list items on each refresh For those unfamiliar, Command Palette Dock is a relatively new addition to PowerToys. It is a taskbar-like tool that you can keep on top of the screen to pin various useful widgets, commands, and more. It can display time, weather, your PC's performance metrics, and more. Microsoft introduced the Command Palette Dock in March 2026 in PowerToys 0.98. Microsoft has dedicated documentation for Command Palette Dock, and you can check it out on the official Microsoft Learn website. You can update PowerToys to the latest version by going to Settings > General and clicking "Check for updates." Alternatively, you can download the installer from GitHub using this link. In other news, Microsoft is working on a new window-management utility for PowerToys. Called Alt Window Cycle, it will let you use the Alt + ` shortcut to switch between different windows in a single app. You can learn more about the tool here.
    • You did take leaf out of Trumps book already and had brexit - only to harm yourself. The same goes with this AI nonsense. The obvious solution for these companies is to move their head office to Brussels. I can see quite much irony there... 🙂
    • Thank gawd AT&T never worked with the US gov....
    • Wonder if they are trying to slow down Linux traction (not saying this is the only factor) in the consumer space. With the most pressure probably being steam deck/box, etc.
