actually, whats the deal with the numbers

01111000000000000000

00011000011000101000

00001100000000000000

these translate into [DEC]

491520

99880

49152

I've tried converting them into dates but they are rather weird, like 2034, 2173 and 3245

it isnt a set of binary numbers, its a sort of overlay grid which was what lokivanished posted before he/she came back and edited it. scrap that, that was the escapegravity one, this one was from http://halowars.heavengames.com/key

when used with the image from IE Blog it reveals the following letters:

pf6nzzfpnvqj

also in lokivanished's post on the blog there are the following instructions:

ROT -1 all the letters (comes to oe5myyeomupi)

Shift all the letters once to the left on a standard keyboard which comes to the key: iw4nttwinyou

What's the current puzzle we are trying to solve?

Could you add that to the start post, the clock is ticking ;)

Just understood it while reading the updated info, the image posted to the IEBlog is a key when connected with the images that we got from other places and if you follow the instructions. As there are three images and all have been solved there is currently no puzzle left to solve.

Either we need to find more of those images with instructions to what to do to the characters or we need to figure out more what they're advertising about :).

On the Flicker website we see a picture of her standing in front of a painting. Could the painting be another key-clue?

The painting might show another pattern of symbols to select from the code (where the left painting is the left half, and the right painting the right half).

Hmmm.. something like:

00000000001111110000

11110000001111110000

11110001110000000000

We definatelly need to check BOTH Google and Live search...

And we need to go back to the wh0isl0ki puzzle!

This is one of the hardest puzzles ever... I don't think that the biography has much to do with the puzzles... It's are all puzzles starting from one point (the first image on IEBlog) and ending with a clue... None of them goes further...

That puzzle is SOLVED. Ignore the letters for now. Use the greater than and less than symbols, and solve it like a sudoku. After you are done, use the corresponding letters to the number in the corner.

Both versions work, the second is easier because it spells 'biography'

I guess I'm missing something... what does Rot -1 or Rot +4 mean?????????

Simply shift the letters along:

ROT 0 : ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

ROT 4 : EFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCD

to solve ROT +4 go from top line to bottom, to solve ROT -4 go from bottom to top

Obviously, for ROT 1, you need a different line that only shifts the letters one place along.

from an amazon review of the book in the video

Herodotus was born in Halicarnassus and lived from 484 until 429 B.C. These dates are approximate.

The History of Herodotus is divided into nine 'books' (we would speak of chapters) each with a name of one of the nine Muzes: book 1 is Cleio, book 2 is Euterpe, book 3 is Thaleia, book 4 is Melpomene, book 5 is Terpsichore, book 6 is Erato, book 7 is Polymnia, book 8 Ourania and book 9 Calliope. Their names were given at random without a link to the content of each book.

Scholars believe that it wasn't Herodotus who used these names but that it was done probably by

an unknown copyist from the Hellenistic period (+- 300-200 B.C.).

if that gives anyone any leeds... bold emphasis mine.

He means the colours are the same order as the 360 pad - Yellow, Red, Blue and Green

ah I see, I was just about to say they are wrappers, you can see more of the wrapped chocolates on the trolley next to the silver platter :)

there's still more to this 'vanishingpoint tag' thing... did anyone try XBL in the end?

I can see how it relates to the golden curve, a downward spiral ever approaching 0, vanishing..

    • On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"

    • Anyone who expects MS to play fair is a complete idiot.
    • Everyone behaves like Internet Explorer just never happened and Edge is whole new thing all while Microsoft is pulling the exact same ###### it did back then. Sigh.
