So we should gladly take a halfass offering because its apple? That sounds like the PPC days of apple.

That's not what I said and you know it. Please don't put words in my mouth -- if you're going to say something stupid, say it for yourself, not me.

8GB for a phone. This is a phone. What part of that do you not comprehend? Tell me what other phones have 8GB of room. That's quite a bit, regardless of what you're using it for. Why do you think 8GB is not enough? Do you have 10 movies that are absolutely essential you need to cram into a phone? What are you doing in 24 hours that requires that?

And, no, it's not a halfass product, but good try. I'm not an Apple fan by any means, but I fail to see your argument.

Cingular is not even close to Verizon. I don't care what that article says. Verizon, ATT, and Bell are all absolutely enormous compared to Cingular. They are all the result of huge mergers and purchases.

I'm reading comments about the iphone and I just can't figure out you guys.... surely you supposed to have some exprience by now

I see infinate amount of operating prolbems with its

1. Its too big and fragile to be in the pocket

2. Touchscreens need a cover, big disadvantage

3. I see no battery life on this device

4. Its gonna be at least 500USD

5. Its going to have lots of issues for at least a year

Apple redsignes a pocketpc a bit and everyone go nuts... go figure

The first apple product I've ever been interested in lol.

Only problem I can see, is that it looks like that screen is going to be easy to scratch. If the price for this is decent, I may think about getting one lol (need a new phone, and a new MP3 player lol).

You all realize that PocketPC owners have been able to do everything that iPhone can do for years now, right? This is a PocketPC device with a new interface.

I've had a couple of PPCs and the touch screen an interface look no where near as good as this

Wow just great on the Cingular Only - I might get one by like 2012 at this rate seeing as where I live all we have is ****ty alltel and verizon. Cingular will probably go back in forth in names like 6 times by then too. Thanks Apple! At least the appleTV looks neat.

10:27 am presses a button and calls starbucks

10:27 am finds a nearby starbucks

10:27 am finds moscone west

10:26 am it knows where you are

10:26 am truly incredible

nice

and also

10:28 am after all the tapping, screen is still clear

1. it looks smaller than a regular iPod

2. aren't plenty of touch screens scratch-resistant nowadays? If you're talking about errant touches activating something, it's already been covered

3. so why are you assuming anything

4. we don't know the price yet

5. again, assumption

:omg: :omg: *dies*

Maybe it's the RDF, but this iPhone looks to be ****ing sweet. And to be honest I don't mind that I just bought the Zune. The iPhone can't compete with Zune at 8GB, and the iPod 6G doesn't appeal to me.

Now, pricing! :D

Agreed. But Apple has made it so simple that any one of the millions of iPod owners worldwide could pick up this device and feel at home. Don't get me wrong, the interface looks great but it has that Apple look and feel...which has been incredibly successful and is, however much I hate to admit it, a very good way of interacting with a device.

Well done, Apple. I seriously mean that, this little thing looks incredible!

This is why I love Apple so much. Their products are gorgeous to look at and are even more extraordinary to use! Now if they could only have less problems we'd be set!

Only when it works.... But when it doesn't.... Hold down your breath, man. TERRIBLE support!

I don't get what your on about.

Sorry, didn't mean to be rude.

Most comapnies, especially technology and hardware companies, brand everything they make with a logo. Apple brands everything they make. Even the little USB ends on their mice have an Apple logo. I have pens a remote and all kinds of stuff at work with an Apple logo. So, it's weird that their most popular and mainstream product doesn't actually have an Apple logo on it, or at least, on the front where it's clearly visible. You'd think, for the elite few who don't know who makes iPod, that Apple would want them to know, at first glance, who made it.

From a marketing perspective it's very strange.

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
