I think if the kid gets his prize taken away from him, he'll learn something valuable about life.

i didn't participate in the contest, but I think it would be lame to see some kid steal everybody's hard work and end up winning.

Here's a grand prize for ya... A kick in the head

Wow, lots of new posts overnight.

Anyways, just to make things clear, I am not trying to "defraud" the people administering the sweepstakes. They will know that the name on the affidavit/W9 forms and the name originally registered on the Vanishing Point site is different.

Forums cannot be used as real evidence. I say in my profile that I'm 15 years old, but how do you know that I'm not lying?

All in all, we'll just have to wait and see what MK people decide to do. If I get the prize, great! If not, well, it's not like I ever expected it anyways.

Too everyone who says I'm stupid by posting my win here, you're probably wrong. I knew that people would start realizing I'm under 18 and the sweepstakes was open to people 18+. The reasons I wanted to post that I "won" were:

1. I wanted to get your guys' opinion on whether or not MK will accept my dad's signature and stuff. Some of you have said maybe, and some have clearly said no.

2. Someone said that I don't understand what I'm risking by posting my win in here. What am I risking? I have nothing to lose, only Dell or Alienware PCs to gain.

Wow, lots of new posts overnight.

...

Look Jason, you are a smart and bright kid, we all know that many folks like you, I mean under 18,

participated in the game, the big issue and what makes you not that smart is that you won and made

it public that you didn't follow the rules.

Where this is gonna end, who knows, but you are flat wrong, these days anything can be used as

evidence, your "digital fingerprint" is all over the net, so as I said before stop spinning the wheel,

lay down and keep sharpening your pencils for the calculus test.

My .02

As you are apparently under age, the notary will propably not exemplify your signature, unless your legal guardian will sign too, which will certainly cause astonishing reactions by the game makers. Then it would be obvious that you violated the participation conditions, which might lead to a potential disqualification.

Since we have photo's of the original package, we have a reference number :)

FTP222...I remember seeing a picture of Jason's letter on top of a DHL envelope, but where was the picture of the package itself with the reference number? I think that I missed that one. Was it in this "Prizes!" thread (which page) or elsewhere?

He posted it on his flickr page.

It's weird, I should really take that link down because it exposes peoples' addresses but the cat's out the bag now so I see no point. Unfortunate they've been this lax though, that's pretty poor on the part of MK.

If you follow the links off DHL's site you can go so far as to see peoples signatures...FOIPOP

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
