Song Title & Small Details of Trailer 2 Revealed

Posted by Adriaan at 00:38.

Yahoo's coverage is finally showing off, though this isn't the sort of content we expected. If you don't want to know the title of the song featured in the upcoming trailer, don't read any further. From Yahoo!...

"The new trailer is scored with "Arm In Arm (Shy Child Remix)" by New York City-based band The Boggs. The idea was to show a real street-level view of Rockstar's version of the city with a band that belongs there...

...While Rockstar is reluctant to discuss the details, time is a big factor in GTA IV. The new trailer indicates in subtle ways how the passage of time might affect the game, and there are clues that indicate some missions, or mission elements, might be time-specific."

You can listen to a different remix of the song on their Virb profile over here.

Can't wait for the new soundtrack - loved the previous ones..

the screens dont look that good......

sheeeeeesh... :o

Mr. High Expectation 2007.

This is a full streaming working city here. Those kind of visuals look amazing. I really think some people don't appreciate the effort that goes into such things.

For reference heres San Andreas:

Yea, your right, they barely did anything to make the visuals better...

Who said that?

I agree with Meshuggah that the screens don't look that great, but I must say that those scenes look interesting. Graphically speaking we've seen much better shots of GTA IV in the past.

"Mr. High Expectation 2007" made me laugh.

With all due respect to Rockstar, but these screenies really don't look any better than Saints Row did on my 360.....I have it plugged into my monitor and its running through vga and it looks pretty awesome at times

I'll probably be getting this game, but I haven't really thought much of GTA since 3... The engine has needed a serious overhaul for so long in my opinion

Now, where did all the Gameplay > Graphics people go?

It seems like everyone is ready to call GTA IV a dead duck, due to some blur and HDR in a single screenshot?

I thought it was just me, but peoples standards are very high. I think the game looks fantastic, just wait till we till it's released and were all playing it.

    • No Steam release. It's gonna fail on PC. Even an Epic Online engineer said that people go there for the free stuff and then immediately go back to Steam.
    • Nice. Admittedly, his other games never interested me, but this seems pretty cool.
    • It's time to say goodbye to Edge and switch back to Firefox. There's no way to disable the ugly rounded corners that appear everywhere. Not even on the page frame. No one uses screens with rounded corners, you idiots.
    • Being on Github makes it more trustable since I can see the code at any point.
    • Gen Atlas is the next game from Shadow of the Colossus creator, this time with giant robots by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The mind behind widely well-received games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, Fumito Ueda, showed up at Summer Game Fest today, and that was to reveal his latest project. Being developed by genDESIGN, Gen Atlas is incoming with what looks to be plenty of mech and robot action. Watch the reveal trailer, which makes not much sense, above. The game will have players waking up on an abandoned planet where deserted facilities and grand designs from the original creators remain. Soon, they will stumble upon a colossal robot, from which players gain access to the power to change the world. "Across an endless expanse of time, the remnants of those forgotten constructs begin to move once more," adds the studio. The gameplay snippets seen in the trailer show the player character climbing giant robots (as expected from the creator), while also controlling these titans somehow as well. This is a fully single-player open-world adventure. “The team and I are grateful to all the fans who’ve been eager to learn more about our game,” says Fumito Ueda, CEO and creative director of genDESIGN. “Their passion and enthusiasm has always motivated and inspired us. We hope to share an experience that inspires moments of quiet wonder and discovery.” Before gaining the name Gen Atlas, Ueda first announced this project back in 2024 with the codename Project Robot. Interestingly, this will be a project being funded and published by Epic Games, which should mean that a Steam release is out of the question. Gen Atlas will be releasing on Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. A release date has not been announced just yet.
