Season Four Description

After Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, its survivors were forced to find inner strength they never knew they had in order to survive. But they discovered that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, housing and hatches with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as "The Others," and a mysterious man named Jacob. The survivors have also found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock, the remains of an ancient statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative -- a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past.

With only 48 original episodes left until the final episode airs in 2010, this season truly is the beginning of the end, with the promise of rescue at hand. Jack has radioed a freighter stationed somewhere off the island. But when it's disclosed that Charlie's dying warning was that these people may not be who they say they are, the castaways are split as to what to do. Jack is convinced that the freighter people are there to rescue them, while Locke is not. A split occurs among the survivors. Who is on the freighter? What was the significance of the flash-forward showing Jack and Kate off the island at some point in the future? What will the consequences be when the characters once again encounter Michael, who seemingly escaped the island after murdering two of the survivors? These are some of the questions "Lost" will explore during the action-packed fourth season.

Interestingly since its been gone for so long I've so gotten over it, I could care less about it.

Shame.

Yeah I forget Lost even exists because its not back till Feb...Its a shame we didn't get any filler this summer like a Lost Experience.

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. Its only been off the air for the same amount of time as every other show. The new season hasn't started yet for anything.

If it had come back around nowish it would have caught my attention again but seeing as its not back for another 6 months, I don't care about spoilers or the fact its returning at all.

This is coming from a complete addict to.

I personally lose interest in most shows when I have to wait so long for them coming back. I do look forward to them coming back though, yet it takes a while to get enthusiastic about them again.

Yeah I really want to see a good premiere and then get right back into it!

My my how fickle some of you are. You distance yourselves from one of the best TV shows around because it's airing later than usual so that you can have new episodes every week until the finale? I don't know why I bothered....

I guess the only way to appease this type of person is to have 52 episodes per season... ya know, where every week is a new episode so that they can't moan, gripe, and complain that it's such a long break. I'm wasting bits now.

I don't know if your post was aimed at me or not, but...I see no point in following a TV show closely when it is not on. What am I going to learn besides spoilers and generally wishing it was back on? I distance myself because I really see no point thinking about Lost/Heroes/24 because it just makes me miss it more, I would rather forget about it until it comes back to our TV screens, then I will get addicted again.

Hello everyone, You do not know me since I mostly just watch the boards and don't post much but I am a lost fan since the beginning. Last week my family and I vacationed in Disneyworld and on wednesday we traveled to Disney's MGM Studios and ate lunch at what is known as the ABC Commisary. It is a counter service restaraunt and around the building are TVs that show clips and previews of new and returning shows coming to ABC soon. I was eating lunch and the LOST preview caught me off guard. It has no new footage of course and it went like this.

" They thought they met the evil" (flashed to the others),

"They thought they had found the secret"(flashes to the Dharma stations), "They thought they won", (Flashes to beach scene in season 3 finale),

"They thought wrong!"(Shows all the guns being loaded)

"Defend the island, it's not over." Spring 2008.

Not that great but it just keeps on adding to the fact that we know that everyone teams up to now defend the island. I wish I had caught a video of it but the loop was 40 minutes and I would have to sit through the loop again and see the stupid preview of that Caveman show.
