Hell_Of_Doom
this is already debunked, and i doubt anyone is gonna think ur a good source of info on vista with a lame sig like that My sig is just a joke...i'm running Vista x64 Edition for your information :) I can't really confirm it. I have ISO image, but only for x86. I'm lazy to install Virtual PC 2007 and see actually if it's real or not. simmorya
Just as i thought... FAKE. Microsoft will work on SP1 right up to the last minute before releasing IMO. IF Vista SP1 is a flop, then Vista is a complete waist of time all together. My guess is that alot of people will hold out for Windows 7.
Randolph
Is this a joke? Stop stirring up invalid information. This was ALREADY classified as a false leak. Edit: Also NO source.
LUTZIFER
It's kinda funny how people are so quick to say something's a FAKE becuz there's no source to show it's realism, yet those people don't have a source to show it's a fake. Just had to throw that in, lol!!!
1Frothy
There's nothing on Connect. So I think this is all fake. Actually the filename format isn't quite correct either. Hell_Of_Doom prove your source. Otherwise don't post rubbish.
Swift33
Hell_Of_Doom prove your source. Otherwise don't post rubbish. It's real. I haven't seen a full ISO which Hell_Of_Doom seems to have but there is a v. real x86 18000 4xx MB .exe out there with MS digital sigs. That's all I'll say. As for proving the source, I highly doubt someone would be foolish enough to post a link to where to get it from.
stevehoot
It's getting too close to the release to dismiss it - though I don't really care that much to be honest. SP1 is really just a rollup of the normal automatic updates. There's a couple of extra, but nothing that warrants a mention. MS will stop development on it about half way through the last RC release. If there's minor bugs already then they won't hold development of it to RTM, rather spur off a couple of devs to do patches for it now and test them against SP1. maxsquared
I can actually see it's being real. And now it's just internal testing, after that, if there is no major issue then it should be released in a couple of weeks.
1Frothy
I still think it will be far sooner than a couple of weeks. So if I was going to take a stab at it, I would say this weekend the Final bits will be available to beta testers.

1Frothy
I hope Microsoft releases this SP by the weekend. ;) Got to love Google's Translating tools: As a build number of the final edition of the Windows Vista Service Pack 1 called us 6001.18000.080126-2040. This version is now, if not at the last minute problems, will soon be published, it was against us. Maybe it at the last minute but still give an update if a serious error the current plans on the pile raises.A specific date for the publication wanted to be against us once more not mentioned. Instead, as was so often said that it "shortly" so far, he said. Exactly, we will probably only know when Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 officially available for download. :ermm:

1Frothy
ive got it (last night) and its real enough So it should be on Connect soon then? Is there any known fixes between it and RC Refresh 2?
Robbeke
I prefer a good, stable build instead of a quick incomplete build with minor/major issues. I saw someone saying that MS just builds stuff and then push it out quickly, then he really knows nothing about their testing procedures... It takes months before such a release is through all the steps of testing, building and rebuilding. Since the release candidate, they did nothing but just bugfixing the release and they released the RC at least months ago. SP1 will be good, there's too much at stake for MS. Vista RTM is running fine anyway so why bother about the few extra days :)
