Fourjays Veteran Share Posted July 6, 2008 Yea, I thought it was pretty odd. Heidfeld seemed to point at Hamilton's trophy and say to him "your trophy is much better" on the podium.
Fergie Share Posted July 6, 2008 Just got back from Silverstone, everyone at Stowe cheered when they saw Massa spinning for the first time on the big screen. Even more cheers when Hamilton passed Kovy.
team_NOOB Share Posted July 6, 2008 With half a season still to go and three of the best drivers sitting on 48 points each, the next few races are going to be crucial and make for an interesting watch! Go RAIKKONEN!!
Nicholas-c Author Veteran Share Posted July 7, 2008 poor webber :( i thought massa's little "handbrake" turn was good on first lap :p

+Frank B. Subscriber² Share Posted July 7, 2008 My dad and I, were talking about the British GP was basicly spanish at the end!The spainiards are taking over! Why of course, after failing to conquer England with the 'Armada' back in 1588 they're now trying to control the UK by economic means. It's all part of the Great Plan™. Crazysah Share Posted July 10, 2008 Yeah. Go Spaniards! Except I don't want them winning in Tennis or F1!

Crazysah Share Posted July 19, 2008 Why din't Kimi do another lap right at the end? He passed the finish line with 10 seconds to spare?
Fourjays Veteran Share Posted July 19, 2008 Why din't Kimi do another lap right at the end? He passed the finish line with 10 seconds to spare? Was little to no point. The performance of the soft tyres drops off after the first lap, so a second lap wouldn't have been any quicker, unless he had made a major mistake on the initial hot lap. Plus the handling of his car was awful. Another lap with him trying to push harder still in such an unstable car would have increased the risks of an accident. Judging by his problems this weekend, Ferrari would have agreed with him to take no additional risks and ensure a strong points finish, so he likely has a good chunk of fuel too. Neil Share Posted July 19, 2008 It is also another lap of fuel for the race, which I think he will need...
simonlang Share Posted July 20, 2008 ah nice to see that after this exceptional silverstone-raceweekend things seem to be back to normal again. massa clearly on the way to his first title-win and heidfeld slow as a dog again beaten by kubica  hint of the day: raikkonen 1 lap lighter than felipe massa. :p :D
Mosqutus Share Posted July 20, 2008 Hamilton does it again in Germany.....congrats

Fourjays Veteran Share Posted July 20, 2008 Great drive by Lewis and Piquet did well too. :D I expected Massa to just cruise up behind him, but Piquet was standing his own ground just fine.

CrashG Share Posted July 20, 2008 Man this looks fun. I'm going to start watching it, haha. The race will be on today on Fox 1PM EST, but after this weekend it'll be back on SPEED live, so you'll have to get up early to watch it.
Shibby Share Posted July 20, 2008 It was a pretty good race, got better again once Glock when smashy smashy time. I think all the drivers did pretty good. Kimi way off it again. Sometimes I just think him and Lewis are a like, somedays they are good, then they aren't so good.
Antaris Veteran Share Posted July 20, 2008 Risky gamble by McClaren, but Hamilton made sure it worked, and it was classy driving in the 55+ laps. Well done to him. Oh, and second place was a surprise!
simonlang Share Posted July 20, 2008 this race was fun to watch. it shows f1 has to copy everything from us-motor-racing like the safetycar periods and the boost-button (they plan to introduce this one soon) to make things interesting. hamilton was impressive i have to say, if he goes on like that no one can stop him from winning his first championship. CrashG Share Posted July 20, 2008 Fairly exciting race, lots of 2 car battles going on. McLaren say that there are no team orders (other than not to take each other out), but it looked like Heikki was told to move over and let Hamilton pass toward the end. Also why did Massa not hold the inside and make Hamilton do something around 12 laps from the end, he swooped to the outside and just gave the inside to Hamilton and then got pushed wide. Lots of luck and timing for Piquet to end up 2nd. He drove a good race and earned the points he got.
