1744: BIG TRANSFER COMPLETED

Liverpool's official website tells the world the news it was massively expecting - Espanyol winger Albert Riera, formerly of Manchester City, has joined on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be about ?8m.

Erm... I know this may be the most stupidest thing to say, but why is the transfer market still open? Isn't it supposed to close on the 31st?

Because this year for the first time since the "transfer window" was invented, the 31st August fell on a Sunday. Nothing happens on a Sunday in this country, we don't even get post :p!

So, that was why it was extended.

Looks like West Ham have let another go!

West Ham and Sunderland are set to announce that left-back George McCartney has left Upton Park to rejoin his former club. The fee, I'm being told, is about ?6m, which frankly sounds utterly ridiculous.

Leaving Old Trafford!

Spanish reports claim Manchester City have agreed a 40million euros (?32.5m) deal with Real Madrid for Robinho.

Chelsea have been leading the chase for the Brazilian striker, who has insisted he wants to play for the West London giants.

Real have stood firm insisting that they did not want to sell Robinho and have refused numerous Chelsea offers in recent weeks.

Chelsea have, though, maintained confidence that they would seal a deal for the 24-year-old.

But now Man City - with new financial clout provided by their Middle East based new owners Abu Dhabi - have come straight in to offer the valuation Real placed on Robinho.

Television station La Cadena Ser, together with leading publications Marca and AS, have stated the agreement with City - which represents a British transfer record - is in place.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea, the previous financial powerhouses of world football, will come back with a revised bid for Robinho.

In light of Robinho's impending move to England, it is believed Real made one last bid to land Valencia's David Villa.

But despite up to ?40million on the table, Los Che insisted they would not let the Spanish international striker leave.

My money would be on Berbatov going to Man Utd, but you never know.

It's practically a done deal now. He's at Man Utd, he's completed a medical, and he's up in the offices with David Gill finalising it all.

BTW, Robinho to Man City?! What is going on?! :D

Sky Sports News says that the Robinho deal is done!

Thats the WTF of the year, its certainly has to be for the money, this is the start tho of things to come Man City buying players for crazy prices.

Agreed. I can't believe that Abu Dhabi group has stirred up the transfer window so much in the last 12 hours! First, they had us believing they hijacked the Berbatov deal, and now, they've got Robinho!!!

Looks like West Ham have let another go!

Right, so, correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I'm aware we don't have a recognised left back anymore! What are the board trying to do? Sell everyone? If they wanna clear out the huge wage bill shouldn't they be looking at the likes of Dyer, Bellamy, Upson, Parker and Neill? Oh, and removing the players who have hardly set foot on the Upton Park turf... Quashie?

Maybe the so called Billionnaire should give up on trying to run West Ham United as it's own entity and open up his damn chequebook. After all, it seems from very recent event (Robinho to Man City) that money talks wonders in football!

2312: George McCartney has told the West Ham website he handed in a transfer request because his wife Elaine didn't settle in the south-east. And I thought it was Sunderland boss Roy Keane who hammered players for deciding to go where their wives wanted?

Brilliant!

I am disappointed in West Ham's dealings today!

Kaka to man city next? ?60m I bet in January!

DONE!

0005: TRANSFER CONFIRMED AND MY GOD IT'S A CRACKER

Robinho, the 24-year-old Brazilian, has left Real Madrid and signed for Manchester City. That is officially the biggest deadline day deal in history. Probably.

    • Being on GitHub doesn't make something safe. Like any unofficial scripts to do x or y this caters to people with just enough knowledge to be dangerous. If you want to do what this does, and you actually know what you're doing then write your own script (or maybe just add the reg keys yourself) if you don't have the ability to read and understand what a script is doing, and especially don't run it with elevated privileges. Or in this case just use an MSA, sign up the normal route, and stop trying to push water up hill

    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
