Have you tried the old trick of deleting the clientregistry.blob file and letting it remake it?

Already done that, all it does is it tries to download the updates, then fails again. I am this close to uninstalling it and reinstalling it again.

i think most pyros do that :p

someone accused me of cheating for killing a spy when he came around a corner, he soon shut up after i pointed out he ran past a sentry which didnt go off :p

i cant wait for the spy update, i'll be playing pyro 24/7 and setting everything on fire :D The demoman update on the other hand, i'll take a long time out from TF2

When is the spy update coming?

Someone got mad yesterday I was a spy, and ran up and face stabbed a demoman. he was ****ed.

Might be the best plan...although it is annoying :)

What the? I tried to uninstall it and suddenly the Steam window pops up, finishes updates and then asks if I want to uninstall Half-Life 2  . Now my Steam is working again, but I have no idea what I have done.

This was done on the server I frequent. Gotta love how they fire on "Can't Touch This" and screw up RED's feverish defense by wasting an uber

I wasn't on then, but I caught someone doing it in Badwater Basin:

Hey, Audiobox, you need to try the GTFO servers ( http://www.gtfogaming.co.uk )

I found the skill level to be higher than Multiplay servers ;)

Yeah I quite like the GTFO servers although I'm on Wireplay the most! (DaVNiX!)

And LOL at your screenshot rm20010 :p

Well i usualy hang out on server 1 when i play, can be a pain to get on some days as the servers are SO popular. But it would be nice to see some neowin names on there some day :)

Team Fortress 2 blog update:

Makes sense now. I've always thought it was on an individual performance basis.

Leaving respawn times at their defaults keeps payload games balanced. On my frequently played server they tried fast respawn for everyone. Defense won 90% of the time, the 10% being when they really suck. Now that fast respawn has been removed, both sides have an equal chance of winning, assuming the teams are stacked evenly.

For CTF I like having fast respawn on. Makes for really long stalemates, perfect for gunning each other down repetitively. ;)

    • Can you read? I've said I'm willing to pay more for a notchless (no notch) 3:2 screen.
    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • make your own notch - it's not that hard
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers.
