Nevermind, I was trying to be humorous. (But obviously I'm not very funny.) I know they're the same.

Dont worry, it made me giggle, but I think you'll find if you go into the Winblows control panel you'll find that Right Clicking is also called Secondary Clicking :D

I would if only I had Winblows installed. Is it similar to Windows?

That's last year and also that's a laptop.

well the point is that Mac laptop "was" the best deal for a laptop running Vista.

One of my main jobs at my workplace is to sell Apple Macs.

While one of the perks is 'You can run Windows XP or Vista if you want to', I usually follow that up with.

'... But why would you want to do that? *laughs*'

It makes the customer laugh as well!

well I install WinXP and Arch Linux on my Mac Book Air, and I only use Mac OS X sporadically. Mostly because I develop for Windows platform. Partly because Opera on Windows looks better than Opera on Mac. And partly because I have to use IE at times for my work. And I play games sometimes.

It's not that Mac OS X is anything bad, but just that due to my profession it's not very convenient. I can see it works very well for designers and Mac developers. And Safari fans. I do use it at times for fun though :)

I'd like to do it so I can actually play games and run the vast majority of all software out there. I also like my right clicking.

*click* *click* look at me! I can right click too!*

What applications are missing btw? ever heard of a games console?

Or are you one of those <down syndrome voice> "oooooooooooh, I like tower. Tower pretty" </down syndrome voice>

I'm confused are you refering to mac users (down syndrome liking it because it appears pretty) and xp users (supports majority of pc games) or what is it ment to be funny?

either way highly unncessary post :)

This really was uncalled for...

Nice to see you ignore the fact I was referring to the *VOICE* not stating that the user has down syndrome.

Take a reading comprehension class please.

Interesting you didn't address the issue of a games console.

No that won't required

I havn't met anyone with a down syndrome like voice who does not have that particular condition

by you even mentioning someone saying that ridiculous statement "oooooooooooh, I like tower. Tower pretty" with a down syndrome like voice

would suggest the individual has down syndrome otherwise its stupid for you to say such a thing :)

Perhaps you should give up on trying to be funny it's just not your thing.

To your edit: You seem to be stating that if you want to play games then to use a console my address to that is to use XP as it supports majority of pc games and all the applications you could ever want.

Please pay more attention.

You seriously need to learn something called "respect" since you don't have it. There are people who don't master the English language that well because they're from another country or simply because they are not good at languages (mostly your either good at languages or good at science stuff). First learn to respect other people and than come back so we can have a real debate. Right now it's more like a flame war...

I will agree that I was rather impatient with him (I was in a ****ed off mood that day), however, he is capable of writing good English (read his other posts), and he did insult me in the previous post. So, he can write and communicate fluently with the English language, yet when he is not insulting someone, he is incapable of writing a clear coherent sentence?

1) I'm not attempting to be funny. I never try to be funny - because being funny isn't my forte.

2) Pointing out the fact that I've heard dozy comments when it comes to justifying the purchase of a computer, "I want a tower", "why", "I want a tower". Difference of opinion is great, when you explain why you hold that position.

yes, but that is a generalised reply with no specifics. What is missing, is there a specific piece of software? if there is, what is it?

Its like saying, "Linux sucks!" without actually explaining why it sucks.

Are you one those "Apple fanboys?"

The mac has plenty of general applications for the common user

Its issues are that most companies have software written for windows rather then a mac like stated before would not have support for custom built software which most companies can't afford or don't see/feel the need to have it ported

However the major problem is the games, There are alot of gamers out there and not being able to play majority of the games is a downfall for any system (Linux/Mac)

Newer games are being developed for a much broader range (Windows/Linux/Mac/PS3/Xbox360) which is great however there are still some old games people like to play and mac will never get that support (starcraft/warcraft 3/diablo) etc

The reason i didn't answer your message is because i felt you was being sarcastic

True, but specifics. Case in point, my brother is studying engineering at university, and he used Parallels because Solidworks isn't available on Mac. That is a specific example of needing to use Windows on a Mac.

Name an application not available on Mac, explain why the alternatives don't do the job required - thats a logical argument.

As for 'subjectives', I can never bothered arguing them because its like debating over which is better, chocolate or vanilla ice cream.

  • 2 weeks later...
Why not buy a windows laptop that has much better specs than the macbooks, also at a much cheaper price, and then install a hackintosh. Tada cheap mac laptop that runs better than apple's insanely expensive macbooks.

Because Hakintosh are problematic. I can understand paying a premium for hardware to run Mac OS X, but paying a premium to then turn around and run Windows on it is just plain stupid.

    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.

    • Or use Epic games and get full games for free. lol Steam and their demos. Thankfully there’s competition
    • Maybe I missed it, but does this say anywhere that the game save bug has been squashed? I haven't encountered it myself, but it would be nice to know I'm good to go. Anyway, amazingly well done game. Mostly more of the same. ...but when the same is best in class with improved graphics and features, then a win.
    • Well when your game flops, you should expect this. If I do bad at work, I would expect a layoff. Less than 1600 people played it on steam. https://steamdb.info/app/1934570/charts/
