Windows 7 build 7068 Screenshot (Yes, it's real)

So apart from the installation environment with the new branding, are there any other UI changes or Icons which have changed in this build?

Still waiting for x64, but I am expecting only a few finishing UI touches in this one. Most of the progress will mainly be under the hood with more bug squashing, code optimization, and maybe a slight performance boost. It is nearing RC, so they won't be doing anything drastic at this point.

I just installed it, and Holy crap, IE 8 is blazing fast! It definitely feels faster than the one in 7057. There's also a new cool animation when opening Windows Media Center. When clicking on Libraries for the first time, a window pops up asking to create a Homegroup.

Another thing that I can definitely notice is that Aero has improved. In all previous Windows 7 builds there was a certain "jerkiness" when opening and especially closing Aero windows, can't really explain it but it was kind of minor and I simply learned to live with it. However in 7068 this seemed to go away! Very impressed so far, will keep you posted as I fiddle around with the build.

A screenshot is a picture. Microsoft maintains control of distribution of non-released builds of Windows, so linking to (or requesting links to) the OS is a no-no. :)

(No, you can't post screenshots of where to get files.)

I think the more relavant question is why you feel it as being necessary to warn people for posting screenshots of their torrent client. Unless they happen to have the tracker URL showing in the screenshot, I wouldn't really constrew that as providing information on where to get the download.

Thanks a ton! Finally someone here worries about making an analysis over the new build. :)

I presume this is the RTM version of IE8. If it weren't for the lack of extensions, I'd definitely use IE8 full-time as my browser of choice.

My wireless card is working out of the box, unlike all previous builds.

Windows Media Player added some new privacy options you can set up when opening it for the first time.

Performance wise, it's fast as usual, IE opens instantly, no thrashing on hard drive but then again that was always the case with Windows 7. No errors so far. :)
