Windows 7 RTM Discussion

19 Pages come one guys just get over it

No RTM Final until Microsoft confirm it

so wait it's been a week since the last compile i don't think it's the last version

so can't you wait until something happens

if it was the final one they should have said something by now

so i guess there would be another compilation soon maybe the RTM Gold or yet another normal version

who knows maybe i'm wrong and this is the final

so until anything happens why can't you just wait for it.

There will be a confirmation that Windows 7 RTM-ed within 24 hours on the Windows 7 Team Blog

I can bet it won't be a week old compile :) as this thread is about 16385.

This thread needs to be closed.

*Glances at 'Report' button sitting on every post*

*Thinks of ways to encourage members to use it if they feel a thread should be closed, knowing that forum moderators don't see every post*

*Glances back at zhiVago*

*Runs away, fast, before zhiVago gets annoyed*

Huh, we're just discussing the final RTM and MS announcements. Why is Neowin so obsessed with closing threads? Then you have to wait until some mod decides we can reopen. It'll just lead to new, very related, threads being created. And just because the thread title isn't necessarily true doesn't mean all of the thread's content is useless.

One. the thread title is misleading. 7 did not RTM'd. Two, just look at this entire thread >.>

+1

more bull each hour in this thread..

Finally, this thread has an appropriate title. So far, Microsoft hasn't announced Windows 7 RTM. When the announcement happens, expect it to be available on MSDN/TechNet within a week or so after.

7600 both assemblies so far are RTM final code. Removing the watermark, changing text, changing activation algorithms, building language packs, creating all SKU's, and much much more are all part of the RTM preparedness tasks.

I am sick of updating etc.

I just use my legit key on this version :) I don't care about 1 little digit.

You do not possibly have the legit key.

Maybe you will care if that "1 little digit" means you won't get any updates?
