I feel we made it hard for us second leg.. hoping Gallas and Arshavin will be back.. they are so important players for us especially as Cesc will be out.. we conceded too many away goals.. glad to see Walcott on the score sheet) WE do have a chance as Pique and Puyol won't start in the return leg.. so there's a chance we could score..

Wow...

Arsenal didn't deserve anything for that game, and still they (with the help of the referee) managed to get a good draw.

Funny you weren't making this case when Chelsea absolutely owned Barca last time around but lost in the dieing seconds..

Thats football.. they missed their chances we took ours.. I feel the second leg could be even more high scoring.. 3-3 would see us through :p

Good:

Puyol out

Pique out

Ended up with a tie by the grace of God

Bad:

Cesc out and possibly re-injured (this is bad.)

Gallas out (shouldn't have played to begin with...)

Arshavin possibly out

Conceded 2 away goals

Overall, we held our ground.

I give Man of the Match to Almunia for his first-half work, but not the second half. God that first Ibra goal was pathetic. What was Almunia thinking!?

I cannot believe how well he was stopping shots in the first half.

Next week's trip to Barca is going to be insane tough.

That's because I don't give a **** about Chelsea and don't want to waste any energy talking about them.

But I do believe they were robbed last season, pretty hard. But it's been more than two years now that the ref let Barcelona play all they want and don't dare to wissle them. Tonight is the exception, and it was a mistake, kind of.

How was it a mistake when Puyol clearly caught Cesc's leg just as he was about to pull the trigger ? Clear goalscoring oportunity taken away.

I love Arsenal and I love even more Cesc but it was nothing; Just a fight for a ball and Cesc dives, looking for the penalty.

can I ask why you hate them? :p

I hate them as well so Ill answer it as well.

I hate ANY team that wins any competition. I dont like teams repeating winning competitions. Example: Barcelona won the last CL; I dont want them to win this one. Inter won the last Serie A; I dont want them to win this one. I dont care if Inter wins the CL and (next year) I dont care if Barcelona wins the Spanish Cup because Inter did not win it last year and Barcelona are out of the Spanish Cup this year.

(The exception to this rule is Arsenal)

It was a beautiful match. Barca dominated mostly, but Arsenal deserves the draw, the very least. Barca could have sealed a victory early had they scored well. But to everyone's surprise Almunia was excellent during the first half. It was the referee who was to be blamed. He cautioned an Arsenal player for every foul, deserving or not! I think the phase of the game was too fast for him to observe well . That said, I really hope Arsenal wins at Nu Camp. ARSENAL FTW!!!

Dude. You asked the question and then answered.

Let me go through what all you said was bad

1. Cesc out - Yep. Going to miss the rest of the season probably.

2. Gallas - I don't know why the hell Wenger played him!

3. Arshavin - Arshavin wasn't limping badly.. He won't be out for long

4. 2 away goals conceded - Yes but we only need to score one to win now!

Almunia is definitely the man of the match for me as well!

Agreed on all counts. And it's been reported that Cesc likely broke his leg. But when? The PK?

Gallas will be out for the rest of the season. And I don't know about Arshavin's injury. Hopefully very minor.

Cesc wasn't 100% match fit when he started the match. Then he hurt him self after taking the PK. He should have just stayed off for the last 5 minutes.

Gallas is likely to be out for the rest of the season and maybe even sold...

Arshavin's injury is minor. He will be back in no time. He wasn't in that much pain.

Dude. You asked the question and then answered.

No. He said ref made a mistake by giving a penalty..and now I read that Cesc dived ??

LOL

Puyol got nowhere near the ball and wrapped his leg around Cesc's, of course he's gonna fall to the ground. Clear pen.

Cesc's leg has been nagging for a while, yeah...

And it's been reported Arshavin's out for 2-3 weeks. Agh.

Latest injury updates from Arsenal.com

Cesc Fabregas

April 1

Cesc was injured during the 2-2 draw with Barcelona. Arsenal.com will speak to Arsène Wenger today and bring you the latest this afternoon.

William Gallas April 1

William had been sidelined by a calf problem since the 1-0 win over Liverpool on February 10. He returned against Barcelona but after the match Wenger said it was a risk that did not pay off.

"William has a calf strain. He will be out for a while now. Again, I took a gamble that didn't pay off. I can say yes, I regret that now."

Andrey Arshavin

April 1

Andrey suffered a calf injury against Barcelona.

No time given there for any of the 3 to return so I'd wait and keep an eye on Arsenal.com rather than speculate..

It was a clear penaly, no doubt, but most of the time, for that kind of challenge the referee don't give a damn.

Why I hate Barcelona? Cause I hate all the spanish league. I hate the fact that there is only Real Madrid and Barcelona who can do something. I hate the fact that there is absolutely no competitiveness whatsoever. I hate the fact that those two clubs can be spare (remember the "****ing disgrace"? Drogba had a point, it was almost that it was written that Barcelona must get to the final. Sometimes it makes you wonder...), and most of it I hate their complete arrogance. And I also hate the fact that the football here is suppose to be a spectacle before to be a game, when Real Madrid/Barcelona plays Osasuna (or every other "small" team for that matter) even the supporters of Osasuna want to see the stars, and wants them to score, you know, for the show, they don't stand a chance anyway, because you can't win against those huge clubs. And I hate that this behaviour is almost dictate by the press (Marca and AS). I can't understand that. In the EPL every clubs, even the "smallest*" is battling to the end for a result. And I love that.

I respect the fact that they play (Barcelona, less Real Madrid) a beautiful football, and I respect their history, but at the moment those two clubs are a circus, not a football club.

*I can't find a better term, sorry. (humble maybe?)

What I hate most abt Spanish clubs and especially Barca and Madrid is the way they try to trigger sales through media and show no respect what so ever towards other teams big or small.. Ronaldo sale was an example.. they are doing the same with Cesc and have done that to so many players in the past.. if an EPL team does that watch out for Platini and Blatter.. why do the Spanish get special treatment in this case?

    • Microsoft Weekly: Surface Laptop Ultra, Windows 11 context menus, Build 2026 recap, and more by Taras Buria This week's news recap is here, with Microsoft announcing the new Surface Laptop Ultra, fresh chips from NVIDIA for Windows on ARM, a no-build week, fixes for Windows 11's context menus, gaming news, reviews, and more. Quick links: Windows 10 and 11 Windows Insider Program Updates are available Reviews are in Gaming news Great deals to check Windows 11 and Windows 10 Here, we talk about everything happening around Microsoft's latest operating system in the Stable channel and preview builds: new features, removed features, controversies, bugs, interesting findings, and more. And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. At Computex 2026, together with NVIDIA, Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful laptop to date, powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark processor. Details about this computer are currently scarce, as Microsoft has only revealed certain parts of its specs. So far, we know that the computer has a 15-inch mini-LED display, a rich set of ports, a powerful processor, and all-day battery life. It also comes with a new wallpaper, which you can already download here in full resolution. The Surface Laptop Studio is not the only NVIDIA-powered Surface, which Microsoft unveiled this week. At Build 2026, the company also debuted the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, an odd-shaped desktop with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU and an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 precision, connected via the NVIDIA NVLink-C2C chip-to-chip interconnect for high performance. According to Microsoft, it can run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally without relying on cloud GPU infrastructure. These two new Surface devices are likely to cost quite a lot, and for those who need a more affordable device, Microsoft is preparing the next-gen Qualcomm-powered Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. This week, details about these two devices leaked in plenty of detail. Other announcements at Build 2026 include the following: Microsoft unveils new security tools for IT admins and developers building AI products Microsoft announces Scout, an OpenClaw-powered personal agent for enterprise customers Microsoft unveils MAI-Thinking-1 reasoning and MAI-Code-1 coding models Microsoft announced a new Windows 11 native command-line utility Microsoft unveils Majorana 2 quantum chip, accelerating commercial timeline to 2029 Microsoft believes that AI agents will eventually replace apps through Project Solara Microsoft introduces Web IQ, a Bing-powered search system built for AI agents Last week, Microsoft released a new Experimental build, which introduced a major Start menu upgrade. We published a closer look here, so if you want to know what Microsoft is cooking without enrolling in the Insider program and installing unstable builds, check it out. Speaking of new features, many users are very annoyed about the way Microsoft delivers them. Recently, a frustrated user shared their experience with gradual rollouts, and even Microsoft engineers admitted there is a flaw in the system that prevents new features from applying properly. One of those new features includes the ability to uninstall AI models in Windows 11 with a single click. Windows 11 is finally getting fixes for its slow context menus. Marcus Ash from Microsoft confirmed that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are going to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." According to Marcus, Microsoft will share more details soon. Windows Insider Program Windows 11 preview builds, released last week, are now available for download as standalone ISO files. These days, Microsoft regularly pushes new images, allowing users to clean-install its recent Windows 11 preview builds faster and easier. If you want to try the latest Windows 11 features without jumping through the Windows Update hoops, get those new images here. Sadly, Microsoft did not release new Windows 11 preview builds this week. Come back next time. However, the front-facing USB Type-C is data-only, and there are some quirks with the computer's memory, so check out the full review. The AMD RX 9070 GRE has been released worldwide, and we published a benchmark review comparing this powerful graphics card to the RX 9070 XT, 7800 XT, the NVIDIA RTX 5070, and RTX 4070. It has solid, balanced performance, plenty of RAM, and low temperatures, but watch out for mediocre ray tracing performance and not the best efficiency. Also, we reviewed the Cuktech 10 Ultra, a compact, high-power charger with four ports and a big display full of various stats. This tiny charger can pull nearly 120W and spread that power according to each connected device's needs. It also comes with a high-quality 240W cable, three power modes, and retractable prongs. • Let's goooooooo! I've been loving the entries so far! I still have to finish Rebirth (things have been busy!)! Excited for this next installment.
    • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
