[Offical]Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Really enjoying the game... just started the chapter called Urban Warfare. Def find myself watching all the cut scenes (which I normally just skip) so I can def say they did a great job with the story. My wife def has given me an odd look or too when she hears a line from Drake "You always follow the hose"..... she hears "You always follow the hoes".....

Up to chapter 18, train level was cool, quite difficult on hard.

Man the snow/ice/water in chapter 17 looks incredible. The village looked really nice as well. Quite possibly easily the best looking console game I've played this generation, the fact it actually uses a colour palette makes so much difference - Pushes KZ2 aside easily.

Wait 'till you get to the end, you'll think that the village looked like crap compared to what you'll see.

You've completely ruined the Running over a Rainbow level for him!

Now he'll be able to guess its all the leprechauns fault with their pots o'gold.

Ah well, maybe someone wont spoil Uncharted 3 for you AB.

:p

Sweet, double cash weekend and the 1.01 update. :D

Halloween is only one day away and we decided we wanted to do something special for our fans over the weekend. We?re happy to say that this weekend is also our first ever Double Cash weekend in UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. The Double Cash weekend starts now (Friday, October 30, 2009) and continues until Monday, November 2, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST.

In every match during Double Cash Weekend, you?ll be getting twice the Cash award you normally would for completing typical game actions ? not medal-related currency awards ? giving everyone a leg up in increasing their Rank for a limited time. That means this weekend is the perfect time to hop on to our Competitive and Co-op Multiplayer modes ? whether you?re just a few levels away from the vaunted ?X? or this is just your first time online.

A bunch of Naughty Dogs will also be playing this weekend, so be on the lookout for the red Naughty Dog paw next to our PSN ID in the game and feel free to say hi, ask any questions or shoot at our characters.

Stay sharp! There might be something spooky around the next corner?

As you may have spotted on the PlayStation.blog, the next time you start up UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves you will be required to download an update to the game. (Japan and Asia regions ? your update will be available next week.)

Here?s the list of (most of) the changes we made. Some changes have been withheld to protect the innocent.

* Addressed respawn points when the artifact goes out of bounds in the Plunder gametype

* Dynamically adjust the win condition for fewer players during the course of a match

* Added features to deter players from voluntarily leaving during a match

* Added rate limit to ?When a Chapter is Completed? Twitter event

* Fixed a display issue during letterboxing

* Fixed Danish Trophy description

* Fixed screenshot utility in standard definition resolutions

* Fixed the ?Players Met? list not displaying recent players

* Addressed a variety of Multiplayer connectivity issues

As we said before, there?s some more changes that were made that we didn?t list out, all in the name of improving the UNCHARTED 2 experience offline and online.

Run run and run and shoot the sap. There is an easy way. I did this in Crushing.

That the shimmy round a block way?

Takes ages, I gave up and did the slightly quicker way which involved just exploding sap, then fighting him till the sap comes back and shooting again, he can't physically hurt you enough to kill you between fights and saps, pretty easy on crushing, and no shimmying. :p

"How afraid were you that I was gonna die?"

"Four."

...

"I just hate clowns."

...

"You dirty old man, Sully"

I didn't want it to end. Just over half way in Normal mode; this will be the first platinum trophy I get!

I'm at the top of the hotel and I don't want to play anymore...the graphics are so damn goooood. I can't get over how amazing everything looks.

Just wait till the last few chapters then...

I was like ND you done this on a console....

Games framerate is solid all throughout as well. It might only be 30FPS but it still feels really smooth.

In fact the craziest thing is you get a 2 minute loading screen when you start up the game but then absolutely no loading screens throughout. It makes you think WTF is going on when generic multiplatform game #2 has a 5GB install and consistent loading screens?

Yep, the games whole seamlessness is pretty damn impressive. Not sure what they are doing but others certainly need to take note!

I'm hoping there is enough life in the PS3 for another episode of Nathan Drake :)

    • It's interesting to hear that AI growth is not investor driven.
    • A few weeks ago, I had this same exact issue. Unfortunately, I didn't think of disabling the Secure Boot option in BIOS. I updated my BIOS to the latest version for my MB and it resolved the issue.
    • I have a partial answer, when I used a multi-port usb hub I had degraded speed performance with 3 large external hard drives connected. I managed to snag a nice (yet older) USB3 based wavelink docking station cheap / used that has x6 usb 3 ports and almost doubled the speed of the external hard drives transfer rate. This looks to be a slightly upgraded model -https://ebay.io/m/LZtjTy
    • Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who allege that the company intentionally overhyped its artificial intelligence initiatives to distract from slowing cloud revenue and an exploding infrastructure bill. The complaint was filed in a Seattle federal court by the Michigan-based City of St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Retirement System. The plaintiffs argue that Microsoft’s leadership painted an overly optimistic picture of its Copilot rollout and complex OpenAI partnership. They say that the company did this while downplaying the harsh reality that building the data centers required to power these next-generation tools requires a huge amount of capital. Back at the company's Q2 2026 earnings report from late January, Microsoft revealed that its flagship Azure cloud growth had slipped to 39% (down from 40% the prior quarter) and guided investors to expect a further deceleration to 37% or 38% for the first three months of 2026. Now, under normal circumstances, a slight percentage point drop in cloud growth is a minor operational hiccup. But the Redmond giant paired that guidance with $37.5 billion in quarterly capital expenditures. This figure, which is a 66% year-over-year surge, blew past any analyst estimates at that time. Much of this amount went into buying high-priced GPUs and custom silicon that were required to train and run large language models. This is why the market reacted violently and just a day after its earnings call on January 29, the company's stock plummeted 10%, and wiped out $357 billion of capital in just a trading session. Microsoft is doing better now, though. Its Q3 2026 results showed its run rate from its AI business was hitting $37 billion, proving that enterprise demand for its infrastructure is very real and continuing to scale. Microsoft isn't the only company pouring billions into infrastructure for the AI boom. We've seen most Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Google, also get the results of these investments with stronger-than-ever growth and increased income. via Reuters
