Windows Live Essentials 'beta' out now!

Recommended Posts

I just did a Google search for "Windows Live Essentials 2011" and the download came up right away. Downloading now, hopefully it's the real thing.

The one that circulated on the internet is dodgy at best, and can actually bork Windows Live altogether - the uninstaller doesn't work. I'd reccomend against trying it.

Hmm... Even if this is a good build that works... It's not the beta build. As if this guy was correct. The beta will be 15.4.xxxx. And this is 15.3.2688.420 supposedly.

It's good and it works, but not for us. :p We all tried back then.

Can anyone check whether it's possible to do a one-way webcam conversation in the new build of Windows Live Messenger?

It was taken out a build or two ago, which is really frustrating.

Is it really 10.15.4? Because I thought this was only Wave 4, and Wave 3 was just 9.0, and Wave 2 was 8.5, and Wave 1 was 8.0. How could they jump from 9.0 to 15.5 already? :|

I don't really know. But Wave 3/2009 was 14.0.xxxx

Yeah, Wave 3 was 14.whatever so 15.whatever seems right for Wave 4.

Also misleading title, it isn't actually out (As in, publicly available) but there are people who have it.

This makes absolutely no sense... I remember Windows Live Messenger 8.5 coming out refreshing the look and making it Windows Live Wave 2, with the Windows Vista look. Then I remember the excitement with what was going to be Windows Live Messenger 9.0, which was Wave 3's version. Confused! :s

It is publically available... just waiting for MS to put the links up.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
