Not all. I haven't seen any single appealing thing about this game that would make me want to pay $60 for it. But then I never said I was boycotting Activision/CoD.

Same.

Rajput just likes to believe that they have done such an AWESOME JOB(sarcasm intended) that us real core gamers in the PC Platform that know COD died @ MW2 are gonna come back.

Like i said, only cool thing Ive seen is One in a Chamber. Gun Game was stolen from counter strike and treyarch is taking ALL THE CREDIT, **** them. Any PC gamer knows gun game started with counter strike. The fact that you cant give another game / community credit for a "feature/mode/whatevre" that will make people(console gamers) love your game more, is sad. You can go suck a dick Treyarch, and a big FU to activision too.

Its sad that you guys are feeding Bobby Fagticks wallet. Not only will you pay $60 for this game, you will also buy each ****ty REDONE map pack for $15 a piece.

How does it feel having your wallet raped Rajput? Oh wait you dont mind pay $60(game) and $15 each map pack(so far 2 for MW2) so total of $90. Whatever works for you. Tregedy and I would rather not pay for a ****** who is destroying PC Gaming. Ill rather spend money on Valve who plans on actually releasing games for PC like they should be, and not a half assed version.

Also, the biggest fail of this game is, WE WILL USE VAC on DEDICATED SERVERS. Really? Vac doesnt work. I for one think and know punkbuster works WAY BETTER then VAC. hell BC2 has had nothing but "on sight/detection" bannings via Punkbuster. Punkbuster isnt perfect, but its been proven if modded/configured right, itll work well.

Now, before you say "but MoH sucks worse" im not looking forwarded to getting MoH. DICE has been getting stretched as ****, and if BF3 ends up being a Flop and not a good lineup in the BF series after 2, ill be ****ing ****ed and they will be off my charts too, as well as EA for pressuring them like a bitch to pump out games like there guinea pigs.

All in all, One in the Chamber is the only thing i like about this game. All the ******* will run away when they realize "oh i cant spray, i actually have to knife, not bunny hop / dive / spray to win". Thats my time of gaming, but oh well, not spending $60 for 1 game mode.

Rajput just likes to believe that they have done such an AWESOME JOB(sarcasm intended) that us real core gamers in the PC Platform that know COD died @ MW2 are gonna come back.

where did i say that?

when did i ever say i bought the map packs? All games new cost $60 (if your lucky, EA games are coming in at $70). So everytime any of us buy a new game we all get equally gang raped.

why i'm getting it for ps3

got anything else captain FUD?

Not all games are $60 on the pc. Modern Warfare 2 is the only game I've regrettably bought on the pc that was more than $50 in the last 6 months.

Also the only EA games that are more than $60 on the pc are collectors editions. So that's not exactly a fair comparison. MW2 on the other hand, if you want to have all the maps you have to pay $90 still after a year.

Your CONSTANTLY bringing up how all the "haters" are gonna flock back. Why are you saying that if you believe the games as ****ty as MW2? Explain this to me. Only reason your saying it is because your "such a hardcore cod gamer" that cod has you for life(as you have said earlier in the thread).

Explain why you would constantly bring up "and watch as all the people who said they are boycotting activision/CoD series flock back..." if you dont believe this game isnt anything original from MW2. Thats what treyarch does. Copies the previous engine and adds fluff.

The online multiplayer mode of Black Ops retains the experience points and unlockable reward system that has been kept since Call of Duty 4. The game's multiplayer focuses on socialization and customization.[9] "Create-a-Class 2.0" will allow enhanced personalization with appearance items as well as upgradable perks[11]: weapons will be extensively customizable with clan tag writing, emblems, attachments and camouflage painting. Even reticles can be modified. Character models will depend on the first tier perk instead of the weapon's type. Furthermore, face paints can be unlocked.[14]

A currency system has been implemented allowing players to buy weapons, accessories and clothes. Players can gamble with their "COD Points" in a free-for-all based playlist called "Wager Match", which is composed of four game modes.[15] Time limited objectives known as "Contracts" can be purchased to gain more currency and experience points.[14] New custom killstreak rewards include RC explosive cars, guided missiles and controllable attack helicopters.[16] For the first time in the series, clips from online gameplay can be recorded. Players will be able to play alone or with friends against AI opponents in "Combat Training" with a separate progression system.[17]

Some PC specific features that were taken away from Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 will return, such as lean,[18] mod tools, the developer console[19] and dedicated servers.[20] Dedicated servers will be provided by GameServers.com without public server files.[21] Steam will be the exclusive platform for Black Ops on PC, so the game will be protected by Valve Anti-Cheat.[22]

There will be a distinct four-player online and two-player split screen co-op mode.[23] It is said to be closer to Nazi Zombies of World at War than Modern Warfare 2's Special Ops.[24] Limited editions of the game will offer the four Zombies maps from World at War for this mode.[25]

that's just the changes for multiplayer, not a bad list eh? including PC gamers beloved features such as dedicated servers and mods (http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2010/08/24/cod-black-ops-to-allow-modding/1). Those are some pretty big changes.

Show me where EA games are coming in @ 70. Maybe if you buy the game used and have to buy the "online pass/card/whatever bs it is" but thats because you bought it use. Idc about that. I buy my games new. Im not worried.

Also Valve games are still coming in at 50. Look @ Portal 2, still $49.99. I believe VALVE will stick true to PC games. Hell Crysis 2 is still listed at $49.95 and I pre ordered, so if that price changes, I get the advertised price at the time of pre order.

never said anything bad about valve, i also love them.

Also, Idc if your getting it for the PS3. You said you have been a COD fan since 1. COD was original PC only. So, if your such a core cod game, you would support the original platform it was on. But thats just me. Ive been a COD gamer since 1. Own all of them for PC, except MW2. Thats when they ****ed up, focused on consoles and ****ed on PC gamers. Thats when I ****ed back on the company.

didn't know straying from the platform of choice made me a bad fanboy, my bad... i just don't like the hackers and cheaters that swarm popular FPS on PC

Thats like your following Killzone since 1 on the PS2, and then lets say "4" goes on the 360 and you would still get it?

yeah...

Ive been following Killzone since 1 and Ill buy it every copy at launch. But if they end up switching systems or go multi-platform but focus on the other added platform then the original one, i will **** on it and not buy it anymore. But thats how I am.

i think we realized how you were a long time ago

P.S. Want a cookie?

yes i do

i was talking about consoles

i was talking about consoles

Those are Canadian prices. We're talking US dollars... maybe we should decide on a currency before you argue cost? And notice how there isn't a pc version of those games..

Console gamers are used to paying more for their games, pc gamers aren't. It's pretty simple. Anyways, I'm not even sure what price has to do with anything anymore?

There's just nothing appealing about Black Ops to me. It looks exactly the same as MW2 with a few tweaks.

US and Canadian video game pricing is mostly the same nowadays.

and MoH is more expensive in canada compared to black ops. I know its for the limited edition but isn't the limited edition just the normal edition with some perks, meaning on pre orders and opening day thats all there is?

Uh huh.. mostly the same, at the risk of having boring sports games on my front page of amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=madden+11&x=0&y=0

$49.99 in the US.

damnit, it's on sale in the states...

Lmao, really? Oh wow customization, how about actual game play mechanics, not changes that will help you pretty up your soldier/player. Also afaik, modding was suppose to be announced "after game launches".

Way to cover Canadian Dollars. I pointed out US, i guess the $ didnt prove that to you did it? You definitely deserve a cookie...

never said anything bad about valve, i also love them.

No but you did say that "... All games new cost $60 (if your lucky, EA games are coming in at $70). So everytime any of us buy a new game we all get equally gang raped."..." I was talking about PC, so before you say "i meant consoles" like the pos line you pulled on tragedy please learn to read in context, because ive been talking about pc all this time, if you cant comprehend that, please dont reply to my posts then.

didn't know straying from the platform of choice made me a bad fanboy, my bad... i just don't like the hackers and cheaters that swarm popular FPS on PC

And theres not hackers/cheaters on Console? Em launch week 10th prestige hack on PS3, hacked lobbies on both system, prestige hack on xbox finally, etc etc. Oh but wait, that never happened right?

yeah...

...

i think we realized how you were a long time ago

I think "we" realized how you were a long time ago too. see what i did there? please speak for yourself.

yes i do

Go get one.

i was talking about consoles

Of course you were. Why would you stay on topic with what me and him said when I clearly stated PC several times. Im gonna bold it for you from now on.

US and Canadian video game pricing is mostly the same nowadays.

Love how you totally avoid the fact that i said SCREW MoH. But nope you have to bring it up, because thats all you have lmao. How about to stick on topic. Like Crysis 2. Thats a PC FPS too, how about compare black ops to crysis 2 as far as PC FPS go? Oh wait you wont, because your wrong.

Those are Canadian prices. We're talking US dollars... maybe we should decide on a currency before you argue cost? And notice how there isn't a pc version of those games..

Right. But why bring sense into this? He believes we are still talking about consoles while we obviously point out PC non stop.

Truly, price has not much to do with it anymore, ill pay the price if its worth it, but even games like Portal 2 or Crysis 2 which i will gurrantee will be Great/AMAZING and are priced @ 50, others can follow suit unless there games are gonna be blow your mind awesome. So i believe the $50 price point is perfect till BETTER STUDIOS start truly asking for money. Valve deserves it.

Also, exactly. Black Ops is the same old engine. But fluff. So Pretty up soldier, stolen game mode that will sell this game even more. Old game mode that was original and famous(nazi zombies and i loved it) but now its old and do something original please, etc.

I am not flocking back to ****vision or the Call of Crap series. I said to myself I was done buying their games after MW2 unless its something that is really awesome and needs to be bought. This is not the game. If I ever do buy it or get it, I will only be buying it if its less than $30 only for the Gun game and the few new modes.

Otherwise its the same POS W@W and MW2 was.

Good luck with that ever happening, seeing as how MW2 is still $60 on all platforms as far as I know.. $90 if you want all the maps. After how long? A year? Which is a total joke all in it's own.

Yes it is. What im happy about is, finally people are getting off the PC version. What also impresses me is, people will STILL bring up the PC numbers as "impressive" but funny thing is, Steam has held a Free weekend almost every other weekend since the games been out, and people jump at it like nothing. But after the weekends over, they say **** that, because its not worth the money.

Now people are actually getting sick of the ****ty match making + hacking and lack of control that there finally just leaving the game. Thank God.

But COD4 has held steady ever since launch. Theres XXk players still on no problem. So many servers on 1.7 that you will never be bored. Those are numbers to be impressed about.

You never said US dollars anywhere. Canada uses the $ sign too genious... And you only stated pc discussion in you're first rebuttal to me. No idea it was the platform of discussion. My bad for the mix up. If I need to learn to read in context you need to learn your synonyms. Look we both have things to work on :)

And yeah I honestly never encountered a hacker on ps3. I don't know what to tell you.

They also never toke credit for gun game. They said they got the idea from the community. It's not the like cs team/valve came up with it either.

Pick on me all you like, I like going after you because you sound like 5 year old with turrets having a spam attack every time you post. Very rarely is there a single coherent sentence/paragraph in any of your posts.

<<snipped>>

My friend had given me W@W for free on the PC and I played it for 15 min. and it was just MW re-badged as a WWII shooter and I hated it. MW2 also really ****ed me off so much, with all the cheaters and lame perks that made the game less fun, that I promised I would never be fooled with hype again.

Good luck with that ever happening, seeing as how MW2 is still $60 on all platforms as far as I know.. $90 if you want all the maps. After how long? A year? Which is a total joke all in it's own.

I can wait. :p I don't care really, I would have GT5 and Reach to hold me over, if I do buy a system. Next year is jam-packed with awesome shooters that will most likely blow away this game, Killzone 3 and Crysis 2.

You know, for all the unfounded hate that you complain of coming from console gamers, you're not exactly making a good case for yourself.?

You keep bickering, and feeling entitled. Meanwhile, I'll spend $300 for a console that will stay current for a decent amount of time, and be able to run my games on a system that I don't need to depend on for my work :). I don't think price point is any real judge of anything, because yeah, PC games may be a bit cheaper, but then again, seeing as some of you have spent close to or even over $1500 building and speccing out your machines, I don't think it's so easy to overlook price.

Oh, I didn't realize the concept of more kills=better guns was exclusive to CS?

Funny thing is, PC Gamers can spend 1k now a days and there PC goes 5 years in gaming. There still more powerful the consoles and the whole nine. Also, the idea for gun game did come from the community, the CS COMMUNITY. Also, consoles were $600 at launch, so if you buy one at launch, your not saving much. Count all the accessories and crap you have to buy. Try again.

I did not hear them once say "and we would like to thank the CS community" for giving us the idea for gun game, because those were the people who did. Not console gamers since they have NO CLUE WHAT GUN GAME IS.

Oh but wait, that makes too much sense. Actually, i forgot the group that did a re-voiceover for the wager trailer and basically said "and we would like to thank the cs community for giving us the Gun game idea, that will add more fun and excitement to this game".

But wait that makes too much sense. Right?

You never have encountered one hacker on MW2 for the PS3? What rock do you live under because I would gladly join you with the other 3032840234 people that have seen hackers. Be it PS3 or Xbox 360. 10 prestige hack/ hacked lobbies was famous. I say was because last time i played was January and I was still getting thrown into hacked lobbies. Another reason I like dedicated servers on PC. When the hacked lobbies hack made it to PC, if there were dedicated servers, I could of easily avoided them, but instead you get thrown into them.

Yup, because 5 year old can post and have so called "spam" attacks. I might not come at you like you do come at me, big deal. If there was rarely a single coherent sentence/paragraph in any of my posts, why are you replying? You shouldnt be able to read them then.

Yup, WaW was a fail for PC also. All Treyarch does is take the same old engine, and spread it among AS MANY PLATFORMS AS POSSIBLE. Even thou the games look bad / suck. They will still spread them for money wise. Only reason there sales keep up is because they make it for DS and Wii. Really? The games gonna look like **** on the DS and Wii and play like **** too on both too.

Same. Reach is gonna give me a break from my PC. Then I have Killzone 3 to finally turn on my 60gb PS3 and Crysis 2 to bring me back to PC. Easily the 2 games that imo kill Black Ops and are worth it.

Killzone > Black Ops. Crysis 2 is NO DOUBT gonna be greater then black ops.

So you only come back at the point of you doubting I've never seen a hacker and how all of a sudden you started using proper sentence structure.

Wise choice for sure...

And speaking of context he's clearly talking about today's prices and $1000 is still equal to three ps3 today.

Dedicated Server is were its all at.. Im in...I all for the tatical Servers

Rules.

HardCore Mode Only

No Bunny Hopping

No Dolphin Diving

NO exsplosives (RPG/Frags/noob tubing)

No Runing (disabled)

No walking (have to move in prone)

NO marty

NO Last Stand

Have to use scoop

any one thats played W@W and COD 4 MW on These Tatical Servers know what I mean when I say only the skill player show here.,

you also never ever serr 12 year old or under taking smack and BS.. in fact u never see kids ever on these servers..

Woah i'm glad you're not in charge of game development.

Fair enough if you mean that this could be an option in the game but having this at all times would be absolutely terrible!

I have no problem with this because i play tactically against these types of players and that's what makes it fun.

So you only come back at the point of you doubting I've never seen a hacker and how all of a sudden you started using proper sentence structure.

Wise choice for sure...

And speaking of context he's clearly talking about today's prices and $1000 is still equal to three ps3 today.

And anyone who built there computer within the last 2 years, can say its much cheaper today. So point being? The arguement goes hand in hand.

Either way, console gamers pay for all the accessories and necessary **** to play there games. Im a console gamer and I know buying all the accessories adds to the total price of a console. With a PC you build and buy games. Of course you need a headset, but besides that your set, as a keyboard and mouse is apart of your set up. Equivalent to a controller for consoles.

Either way, the cost justifies itself to the owner, and overall they all equal each other out because PC's last longer and get cheaper every year, just like consoles drop in price.

Build a pc that can play games like uncharted 2 and killzome 3 for $300. Heck games like gears of war and halo reach for $200. I bet you can't do it.

The thing is, when those games first came out consoles were not as cheap as they are now so you're kind of using double standards there aren't you?

The thing is, when those games first came out consoles were not as cheap as they are now so you're kind of using double standards there aren't you?

Uncharted 2 and killzone 3 are coming/came out when the ps3 was/is $300 and I bought my xbox 360 when gears originally came out for $300 so no double standards there.

    • I have never been a huge fan of libre, it feels really good but exactly when you need an advance feature for data wrangling it falls short every time or has bugs. I am all for euro office if they can deliver a good and usable alternative to MS office with backing of govt function.
    • Go on, I'll bite. How does windows (nice comment on an 'article' which doesn't actually involve it ) lock users out of their data then? Been using it since 3.1 back in 92 and not once have I been locked out of my data? Perhaps you mean Bitlocker? In which case the average user (who doesn't mess about) will have been forced to use a MSA, and in which case the recovery key would have been saved to said account..... If the user did happen to bodge around and not use an MSA then Bitlocker wouldn't have become live (as it cannot without a safe place to store the key) I want to point out Bitlocker and MSA are not connected and you can of course force it on without a safe place to store the key, but you do that with your eyes open. So your standard consumer who knows no better sets up an MSA, gets bitlocker and a recovery key stored off box, with a route to reset their password. All of this notwithstanding the fact, if your data is important, you back it up, no ifs, no buts, no-ones responsibility other than your own. Important data lives in at least two locations, one of which is offline and recovery is tested, otherwise that data wasn't really that important. Disks, fail, laptops get lost, phones end up down the toilet, tablets get stolen, if your only copy of data is on a single device you're doing it wrong.
    • Clearly that feature isn't for us. It's for the ad spam marketers so they can more directly target us about going to places we might want to go again...but without understanding context clues. Like for the flight someone took for a friend's funeral. We want to be reminded of that every time we open an app, a browser, or email, right? Right, Siri?
    • Is your Apple Watch supported? Check the watchOS 27 compatibility list by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with a ton of announcements, mostly centered around Apple Intelligence improvements, the Siri AI, and Liquid Glass updates. However, there is a lot of other stuff that couldn't catch the limelight. Let's talk about watchOS 27 and which models are supported by the newest operating system. According to the Cupertino giant, watchOS 27 will be supported on the following Apple Watch models when it arrives later this year: Apple Watch Ultra 3 Apple Watch Series 11 Apple Watch SE 3 Apple Watch Series 10 Apple Watch Ultra 2 It's a stark contrast with last year's watchOS 26 update, which had almost a dozen Apple Watch models in its list of supported devices. Apple supported models all the way back to Apple Watch Series 6. That said, if you own one of the five models, you'll need an iPhone 11 (or later) with iOS 27 to install the latest update. Yes, Apple has shown some extra love to the iPhone 11, and it old horse supports the iOS 27 update. watchOS 27 beta 1 is now available for developers and interested power users through the Apple Developer Program. So, if you're among those who like to play with fire, you can download it to your supported Apple Watch. Otherwise, the public beta for watchOS 27 will be available next month. The freshly baked Apple Watch update comes with Siri AI - an advanced, fully conversational version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence due for later this year. A new dynamic app grid features icons for five Siri-suggested apps. You can use a new tap gesture to open a widget in the Smart Stack, and a new Find My app finally clears the mess of Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People on Apple Watch. Workout Buddy can run without an iPhone nearby and offers new insights based on data, including your progress for pace, distance, and workout duration. Apple improved its motion tracking algorithms to measure the distance of indoor treadmill runs and walks more precisely. Speaking of other changes, the music playback on watchOS 27 starts faster and you can create custom passes for any membership or card that uses a QR code or barcode, then easily access them in the Wallet app or pin in the Smart Stack.
