A trailer arrives for an Alto's Adventure sequel that will debut in the summer

Alto's Adventure was a fairly simple endless runner game that featured beautiful art and music. Two years later, the team responsible for the original will be releasing a sequel set in the desert.

Alto's Adventure debuted two years ago and featured a snowboarder that you had to maneuver through various obstacles and snow covered landscapes. Similar to other endless runners, the further you progressed, the more you were tested. The gameplay was simple and challenging, and it also offered a soothing soundtrack with beautiful art. Now, the company behind the original has unveiled a trailer for its upcoming sequel titled Alto's Odyssey.

The trailer sets the mood by introducing us to a completely different landscape, the warm and sunny desert, which is in stark contrast to the original's snowy environment. The soundtrack sounds just as emotional as before and while we don't get an extended look at the gameplay, we do get a small glimpse of a lone snowboarder, taking to the sand dunes toward the closing moments of the trailer. With this, we can assume that the gameplay will retain much of the same feel, but it will be interesting to see how the title has been improved. Alto's Odyssey will arrive during summer 2017.
