Amazon Echo and Tap are both available with 15% off - but not for long

If you've been thinking of buying the Amazon Echo or Amazon Tap, now might be a good time to get your credit card out. The retailer is currently offering both devices with 15% off their regular prices, but the discounts won't be available for long.

Both the Echo - which we reviewed a year ago - and Tap are Bluetooth speakers that support voice interactions via the Alexa digital assistant. While the Echo is designed for home use, and features always-on listening for hands-free interactions, the Tap is a portable solution that requires users to push a button to activate Alexa's voice controls.

The devices support functions like being able to play music from your collection, but you can also use the assistant to answer questions, get information, and even order a pizza. Smart home support is also available, compatible with Nest, Samsung SmartThings, Philips Hue, and more.

The 15% discount brings the Amazon Echo down to $153.71 from its usual price of $179.99; and the Tap is reduced from $129.99 to $111.01. For both devices, the promotional discount is available for today only, so don't hang around if you're planning to take advantage of the offer.
