ARC Raiders' second character wipe is incoming, and with even greater rewards

Embark Studios has revealed what players need to accomplish to send their characters on the second Expedition. There's even good news for those who missed out on the last wipe event.

ARC Raiders is refusing to step down from the best selling game lists in all the platforms its available on, and now with a fresh roadmap to follow, developer Embark Studios is getting ready to kick off the second character wipe.

Dubbed Expeditions, these progression-wiping events for the extraction shooter offer players the choice of starting over with a new character in exchange for some useful upgrades. Fans may remember that the first Expedition, after a delay, went forth in December. The second event now has a timeline too.

The next Expedition's sign ups will begin on February 25, and the last day to jump in will be March 1.

The studio says that it has heard the feedback regarding the previous Expedition's high requirements and less than ideal rewards. This time, there are some changes happening.

Here are all the permanent and consecutive rewards ARC Raider players will be receiving for sending their character on the Expedition:

Permanent

Cosmetics:

The Patchwork outfit (evolved)
Scrappy cosmetics
The Expedition Indicator icon (upgraded for each expedition completed)

Bonuses:

12→24 Stash spaces
+0-5 Skill Points (+ catch up on missed Skill Points from the first Expedition, so 85 total is possible for those embarking on their second Expedition)

Consecutive

Buffs:

5%→10% XP boost
6%→12% Scrappy materials boost
60%→70% Repair value increase

"The Trophy Display Project, along with your cosmetics, any Raider Deck progress, unlocked map regions, leaderboard position and Trials, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens will not be affected by the Expedition," explains the studio.

As an added benefit, anyone who missed out on getting all the Skill Points during the last Expedition will still be able to claim them. Any missing Skill Points from last time will be handed to Raiders for having additional 300k Stash Value (per point) when leaving on the second Expedition. This is a pretty good discount considering it required 1 million Stash Value each during the last event.
