Kojima Productions' Death Stranding originally reached PC half a year after the PlayStation 4 version, and now the Director's Cut is following the same routine. Publisher 505 Games has announced the PC version of the enhanced definitive edition of the exploration and adventure experience is incoming in spring 2022.
Aside from everything included in the base game, the Director's Cut features new delivery equipment like the cargo launcher and fall damage negating boots, new combat moves, a new vehicle for roads, ability to make racetracks, more customization options, and more.
A collaboration with Intel is also a part of the process, with the Director's Cut set to feature the company's new machine learning based Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) graphics technology. 505 Games will be sharing more information about the port at the end of January.
Death Stranding Director's Cut is coming this spring to Steam and Epic Games Store. The pricing for this version has not been revealed yet, but there may be some kind of upgrade option available for the base edition owners much like on the PlayStation side.
