Frostpunk is free to claim on the Epic Games Store this week

Frostpunk is on offer to claim and keep for free as this week’s giveaway at the Epic Games Store, taking the place of Among Us.

A survival game that puts the player in charge of the last city on Earth and challenges them with difficult decisions to sustain a society on the brink of collapse for as long as possible. Here’s how the Epic Games Store describes it:

Frostpunk is the first society survival game. As the ruler of the last city on Earth, you have to manage its infrastructure and people to ensure your society's survival. What will you do when pushed to breaking point? Who will you become in the process?

Epic Games Store is offering Frostpunk for Windows, but it’s also available for macOS via Steam where it is priced $29.99 at the time of writing. Here are the minimum requirements:

• OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit
• Processor: 3.2 GHz Dual Core Processor
• Memory: 4 GB RAM
• Storage: 8 GB available space
• Direct X: Version 11
• Graphics: GeForce GTX 660, Radeon R7 370 or equivalent with 2 GB of video RAM
• Other: Make sure that you have the latest VC package installed, and - if you're using Windows 7 or 8 - that you have the KB4019990 update applied
