Get ready for Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch on May 11

It was bound to happen - Minecraft is arriving on the Nintendo Switch in May. The title will offer content packs, themed skins of some of the most popular from the Mushroom Kingdom, and more.

Minecraft is probably one of the most popular games in the past few years that has appeared in some form or another on nearly every recent console and mobile device to date. So it comes as no surprise that during Nintendo's Direct event, the firm would announce that the Switch would see its own exclusive release with Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition.

So what makes Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch different? For starters, players will have access to 40 Super Mario skins that include all the favorites like Luigi, Peach, Wario, Bowser and more. Players will also be able to discover lands from the Mushroom Kingdom that have been recreated meticulously in Minecraft's pixelated style. There will also be dozens of other Mario inspired things to uncover while enjoying it all to tunes from Super Mario 64. Best of all you'll be able to enjoy the game will others by playing with up to eight people. The game will be available starting on May 11, and will be priced at $29.99.
