Google is making it easier to search for films and shows to watch

Google has announced that customers in the United States will be able to find shows to watch more easily. Starting today, the search giant will begin rolling out new commands such as “good shows to watch” and “what to watch” on mobile. This will bring up a carousel of TV shows and movies which you can swipe left or right on to improve your recommendations.

To narrow down searches, Google will provide users with various options. The firm says users will be able to find very specific items by searching something like “adventure documentaries about climbing”, or “horror movies from the 80s”. By adding these options, Google should be able to help you find something to watch, no matter your mood.

Once you’ve found something to watch, you’ll want to go about acquiring it. Nowadays, there are many streaming services available with each offering competitive rent and buy prices for different titles. To get the best deals, Google will help you sift through the available offers. To find the full list of providers, just press on any show or movie after your search, this will bring up reviews, a synopsis, and the places you can watch it and how much it’ll cost. If you'd rather just bring this list up immediately, just search for “Watch ‘Program name’”.

If you’re out the loop regarding TV shows, Google has compiled a few lists of the most searched returning TV shows.
