Halo Infinite's PC specific features, integrations, and more detailed

Halo Infinite Master Chief

Halo Infinite is landing simultaneously on Xbox consoles and PC in December, and 343 Industries today put out information on what kind of exclusive features will players on the latter platform receive at launch. At the same time, the studio and AMD unveiled a limited edition Halo Infinite-themed version of RX 6900 XT graphics card. Find more details on that here.

Halo Infinite will ship with support for ultrawide and super ultrawide displays, with even the campaign cinematics being edited to specifically make sure they will appear without issues on these non-standard aspect ratios. Features like FOV sliders, dynamic resolution adjustment, triple key-bind options, and weapon model off-set control are also incoming.

Local dedicated server hosting will be a feature on PC too, and any other PC or console connected to the local network will be able to join in for old school LAN parties. The previously announced raytracing support is still planned as a post-launch update, with it being developed in partnership with AMD.

The developer has also worked to reduce Halo Infinite input latency to "some of the lowest in the industry" for a better experience on mouse and keyboard. Anti-cheat was briefly touched on too, with the studio saying that while fair play is a big focus, the implementation will respect player privacy and won't feature any "complex DRM or anything that's going to inhibit a player's ability to play the way they want to play."

Integration with Steam and Discord's social features were confirmed today as well, including squad invites via Discord. Lastly, Razer Chroma RGB support will trigger unique lighting patterns corresponding to what's happening in the game across supported products.
